The old analogue clock ticks loud and incessant. It’s driving him nuts.
“Knowing a fact and accepting it are two different battles.” The clock gleams off his doctor’s glasses. Then she tilts her head, and the reflection shows the wall. “Some part of you won’t let go.”
John B slumps in his seat. “Your clock’s really loud,” he says.
Over in the corner, JJ rolls his eyes.
