But Seifer’s shitty attitude made me want to train harder to make something of myself, that’s all I needed to know. I still don’t understand what his weird obsession with me is...
One time when he was being an asshole he called me an “Ice Queen”, but... Somehow that made me remember our weird joint training mission with Trabia Garden, to that isolated village in the northern snowfields... I always thought it was a fever dream brought on by hypothermia—a dying woman in a heavy fur cloak reaching out to me, a blinding snowstorm, the harsh sound of the wind... then I woke up fevered in the village inn. Sometimes I still dream of a howling arctic wind... I don’t know if that really happened, or what it means...

Still has mother, her kind smile and her knowledge. Still has father, as well, although Fugaku stays distant most days, wallowing in regrets and things that make the air around him terribly cold.
Sasuke is glad, selfishly, for that small mercy.
He could have lived without the ghost drama, though....
Or: the one where Sasuke can see ghosts, and things aren't as bad as they could be.

Sasuke who can see ghosts au. So he hangs out with his dead family. He ends up better adjusted overall as a result- I mean on the whole... definitely seems creepier to the average outside perspective though. It has a lot of interesting interactions between characters.

Rean felt sick when Crow stabbed him in the back, he was so angry at his bold-faced lies that his time at Thors meant nothing, and his snitting words, “That Crow doesn’t exist, sorry about it.” It was frightening in retrospect that Rean let a person like that in, he was ashamed that his juvenile crush on this charmingly-eccentric second year blinded him to all the signs. He wanted to yell at the Crow who betrayed him, who coldly wiped the floor with him without even breaking a sweat... but who the hell was this Crow sitting in front of him with a homemade fish burger? It was an almost cruel amalgamation of this dangerous stranger, and the Crow he thought he knew...
Crow always made fun of him for being a meddling mother hen, so he was going to meddle until it all made sense. He wouldn’t give up on him—he chose to believe in the Crow who never pushed him away.
[A retelling of the Erebonian arc with original scenes, if Crow/Rean was canon instead of just strongly implied lol. Filled with drama, romance, motorcycles, anachronistic slang, Gunda—I mean Divine Knight battles, and Pops’ special chili sauce.]
