Mustang flayed out his stiff fingers as best as he could, keeping his head down and tone soft as Al pondered what he said. See him the way he knew how? What exactly did that mean? The Colonel was blind, so he had to depend on other ways to get around, like seeing, hearing, feeling-but he wasn’t sure how any of that would help him.
Of course Al was more than willing to let the Colonel get an idea of how he looked, but he didn’t know what he was asking.
Then the realization hit him like a ton of bricks, and Al had to resist the urge to smack his face out of sheer frustration for not realizing it earlier.“You want to feel my face?”

There was a rhythmic delay when Mustang came into contact with the armour’s arm, and a dull sound was created solely for Al’s notice. A noise caused by cloth on metal, sending subtle vibrations across the emptiness of his armour.
This was a signal that only his brother, Winry, and Granny Pinako had triggered in him before. Alphonse abruptly realized that he had to add Lieutenant Colonel Mustang to the list of names now, which was more than a little surprising.

He held his hand out towards her, and Nina took it hesitantly, her heart beating nervously against her ribs as she avoided his prying gaze.
Her father’s grip was unexpectedly tight, his fingernails digging into the soft skin of her palm, and Nina tried to tug her hand away as he hurried her out of the room, telling him that he was hurting her, but her father only clutched tighter and told her to stop struggling or they wouldn't play.
Nina wasn’t sure she wanted to play with her dad anymore.
