Summary

When myths and legends ravaged their world, heroes rose to defend them… and lost. Driven to the brink of extinction, humanity holds fast in its final foothold against all the forces arrayed against it.
Just when all seemed lost, when the barriers were failing, when a Titan was approaching, a hero saved them all. He strengthened the barriers, turned back the Titan, and discovered ways to make all heroes mightier. Through this Savior’s efforts, humanity had turned the tide in the war.
But Mari isn’t that hero.
She had been proud to have one of the Savior’s most prominent abilities. With it, she’s mastered the art of war and slayed hordes of monsters, giving her a childhood saga without equal. Alas, heroes grow up and many of Mari’s rivals have been given all the powers that made her special. It is also obvious that she is not one of the world's most powerful telekinetics, precogs, postcogs, Masters, and Tinkers. Sam is just an ordinary human with an ordinary job trying to live an ordinary life where she may or may not be mentally coerced into transforming into a fifteen-foot-tall angel and decimating a major population center every now and then.
