It's always been this way for as long as anyone could remember. The Tala vs. the Nascha, the wolves vs. the owls. So basically Akaashi is the son of the Chief to the wolf tribe while Bokuto is the son of the chief to the owl tribe. Do they meet, fall in love with each other, and try to be together although their clans don't allow it like Romeo and Juliet?! NO! COMPLETELY WRONG! They fight to kill each other every time they meet and nearly succeed in doing so. Their fathers are tired of this war though, or at least one chief is, and offers anyone from his tribe to marry the son's chief as a peace offering in order for their tribes to unite. Having nothing to lose at all from this valuable offering, the Nascha tribe accepts. Now Bokuto finds himself in the middle of his enemy's village, surrounding by hundreds who wants to kill him, looking for the perfect one he wants to call his mate and take back home. He almost finds a girl he likes until he hears it, a slight growl in the background, and when his eyes raises up they clash with the eyes of the person he's been searching for this entire time.

"I'm too gay for this shit," he mumbled into his cereal, glaring at the picture on his phone.
"Thought you were bi, dude." Konoha said from across the room, having heard him somehow.
"It's an umbrella term, you jerk," he said, louder this time. "How could you do this to me? Why would you make me room with someone who's so clearly out of my league?"
"One," Konoha lifted a finger lazily in the air, scrolling through something on his own phone where he was sprawled on the couch, "I didn't force you to say yes. Two, I didn't know you were going to immediately get the hots for Akaashi. Three, don't talk about my friend like that. No one's out of your league."
Bokuto was torn between embarrassment at Konoha's usage of the term 'hots' and happiness at the small compliment.

Oikawa stood up and grabbed Iwaizumi by the shoulders. “Akaashi-chan is in love and he won’t let me help him!”
Iwaizumi looked at Oikawa skeptically. “Good. No one should ever take advice from you. Ever.” He then looked over at Akaashi. “Is it true though?”
Akaashi sighed. “I’m not in love. However, I was asked out with coffee by a guy who lip-synched love songs to me at a stoplight, so I am quite possibly considering reaching out and texting him.”Or, Bokuto meets Akaashi at a long stoplight and Bokuto sings him love songs. Akaashi may or may not be head over heels.

He plugged his laptop in before slowly climbing onto their bed. A hint of Bokuto’s scent lingered in his pillow and Akaashi buried his face in it. A moment passed before Akaashi lifted his head, a tiny pout on his lips. The V.League was nearing the end of its season, but it had been months since Akaashi had seen Bokuto. Since he felt his touch, his lips on his skin, heard his laugh in person.

"Yeah, man, like I hear it in the morning and I wake up and I, you know, I listen to the whole thing and then I'm ready to get up and bro, you know, I'm ready for the day." Koutarou explains, like it was most normal things ever. Like everyone has their own get up and bro song.
Or; Akaashi jokingly hits up a radio show he frequents when he can't stop thinking about the guy from a one night stand he had. It doesn't exactly go how he expects.
