Summary
Loki was gone—at least, the part of him that Sylvie knew.
Upon travelling to New Asgard to find his brother, Sylvie buries a lock of his hair as a way to say goodbye. But soon after, she finds a small tree has grown in its place. With the help of her new friends, she investigates the mystery of the tree—and its connection to Loki.
The feel of cool damp grass on her hand. The smell of ozone on the breeze. The dew seeping into her pant legs. Everything felt in focus and so very real, not at all like a dream.
And Loki was still there.
He’d spoken, he’d looked at her, and then he’d laid his head back down and closed his eyes. Completely still, except the rise and fall of his steady breathing.
Alive.
It would be easy for her to remain transfixed on this subtle motion, the endless pattern of inhale/exhale. She shook off the temptation and looked him over; he was covered in a thick shiny substance. Transparent for the most part. Tentatively, she tried to wake him.

Hands zip tied to the headboard, feet bound at the ankles, he’s alone now. But he doesn’t have time to assess his wounds or draw comparisons to past interrogations. The door clicks open again.

Summary
Thor falls into another universe and is forced to kill another version of himself. Then he hears a song from the water, that he simply cannot resist.
It was then (as he made a mental note never to use a narwhal horn as a decorative item) that he heard the song.
A hauntingly beautiful song; so sweet he felt he could open his mouth and have the melody melt on his tongue like spun sugar.
Surely it could only have come from the most talented singer in Valhalla, it so enchanted him.
It drew him towards the water, to the end of a long wooden dock. There, he found the source of the music and stopped short.
The singer rested his elbows on the end of the dock. The rest of his body dangling into the water and he had obviously just been swimming as his long black hair was dripping wet.
When the man saw him, he stopped singing, “You killed my brother,” he said.
“I-uh,” Thor stammered, “I’m sorry. It was an accident. I fell on this hut you see, and he attacked me-“
The man halted Thor’s apology with a wave of his hand. “No need to explain,” he said, “You’ve done me a great service. My name is Loki and I greet you warmly.”

Loki is the black sheep of the prestigious Odinson dynasty. His life has been a whirlwind of indulgence without consequence - but now his adoptive father has firmly thrown down the gauntlet and threatened to cut off Loki's inheritance if he doesn't clean up his act.
