Peter nearly jumped out of his skin as soon as they made eye-contact, and would've propelled himself onto the safety of ceiling if not for the 210 pounds of anti-hero in his arms. He did tense up, and it took a long, terrifying moment before he squinted at the shadowed figure and leaned forward.
"Shiklah?" He whispered, "Is that you? What are you doing in my apartment?"
To be honest, he's not sure why she's so angry in the first place. Until the man in his arms shifted and it hit him.
He's currently in bed. With her ex-husband. Naked.

Peter’s on the verge of laughing, wanting to join Wade in his amusement, but he freezes. His entire body goes still. He finds himself staring at a roof three buildings over, not even looking at anything. Two blocks away, a car alarm finally shuts off.
“I never told you that,” Peter says, the realization startling him.

Summary
Before Keith can ask her why she’s pushed her way through — not that he minds, he’s happy to have her, but she hasn’t felt the need to visit him in a while so he’s curious — he feels another presence almost knock on his subconscious, request access to his mindscape.
Red has…brought someone else?
Can she do that?
Red looks at him flatly, like his doubt is a personal offence. Before she can start admonishing him, the presence pushes again; not urgent, but insistent, almost as if someone is knocking on the door of Keith’s mind and doesn’t want to be ignored.
Beyond curious, Keith lets them in.
The second Keith opens his mental door, it’s like they rush in, flowing in like the white rapids of a river, strong and fast and excited, cool and bubbly. There’s so much of them that it takes Keith a good couple of minutes to conceptualise just who exactly has followed Red into Keith’s mind. The rushing water takes shape into a person; tall, gangly, broad-shoulders with a mop of curly brown hair and bright brown eyes, freckles spotted over their nose and grin wide and sparking.
Keith gapes.
“Lance?!”

Summary
Lance’s hands were relief- the oil on them had them gliding over Keith’s skin, working over Keith’s tender muscles, releasing the tension and untying the knots deep in the tissue. Keith doesn’t think he has ever been touched for so long or so intentionally. It felt beautiful, if beauty could be a physical sensation. So good, so good, so good. He tried not to groan but he could barely trap it in his throat. It snuck out, his vocal cords vibrating his body.
“Oh, crap, did I-?” Lance began to raise his hands but Keith reached around and grabbed his slippery fingers in his own.
“No-” Keith looked into Lance’s face in the mirror, ignoring the way his own face looked wrecked, blissed out. “Please. Don’t stop.”
Lance breathed out one long shaky breath, staring at Keith. “O-okay.”
Or
Keith is touch starved, and that's a metaphor for his life. Lance is good for him.

Does anyone know Lance is in love with Keith?
Of course not. And Lance would very much like to keep it that way, thank you! Keith already doesn't want anything to do with him ever since coming back from that space whale; the last thing Lance needs on top of his crumbling self-worth and shaky standing in the team is a rejection that shatters his heart in pieces, too.
But now, Lance got himself in a bit of a pickle. Which is fine, because Lance has a plan to get out of it! A wonderful, brilliant, masterful, completely fool-proof plan. His team won't look at him like he's more incompetent than they already do, he won't have to spend the rest of his life trapped on some alien planet, and Keith will never find out just how head over heels he is for him. It's a win-win-win situation.
Of course, with Keith, things are never quite so simple, and Lance's plan soon causes a domino effect that changes the entire course of his life.

“Kogane,” he calls. Pidge doesn’t look up, but Hunk does, pausing in his scribbles to give Lance a wide-eyed look that is promptly ignored. Keith’s head shoots up, looking startled by the use of his name, and he meets Lance’s eyes with a mostly unreadable expression. Or maybe that’s just Lance’s exhaustion speaking, he doesn’t know or care. “Come sit with us,” he offers, patting the back of the chair next to him.
Keith looks a bit like a frightened wild animal, but when Lance stares at him expectantly, he slowly starts picking up his work and piling it in his arms. He approaches their table slowly, still cautious, but sets his stuff down and pulls out the chair.
Lance slams a hand down on his worksheet, making all three of his tablemates jump. “Dude,” he says to Keith. “What in the fuckity is this saying. Do you understand this shit?”
Keith looks somewhere between taken aback, baffled, and bemused. “Um. Kind of?”
“Please. Explain.”
or, the paladins become friends long before they ride a hoverbike down a cliff together. it's lance's fault, really. studying at the garrison, birthday celebrations, and all kinds of love and laughter.

Lance’s halted speech broke into staggered coughs. I wouldn’t never let anything happen to Voltron. Never on my life would I have acted so absent mindedly with the weight of the universe looming over me. He tried again: “Ah-en—” Another cough. “Y—”
“Lance, stop it,” Pidge said, “You’re going to hurt yourself.”
A pen. He needed a pen and paper. Then he could write what happened.
He gestured in the air, mimicking scribbles, mimicking a sheet. All he got in response was pitiful stares.
Lance’s heart sank. They weren’t listening. They weren’t listening.
An exchange with a cynical alien during a diplomatic mission leaves Lance unable to speak or defend his honor when he is accused of a wrongdoing he didn't commit.
