Summary
In which Regulus, only child, accidentally obtains a brother by neglecting an animagus potion around his dog, Sirius.
Sirius wished he had hands like Regulus. Then he wouldn’t be balancing this in his teeth where it hurt, and it slipped, and his tooth became caught on a cork.
The potion spilled in his mouth. He felt like he was sitting in the middle of the fireplace. And his heartbeat doubled.
The smell of the potion vanished.
Sirius tried coughing the potion into his… hands.
He had hands? Sirius’ heart raced. Hands covered in skin.
The window was where his reflection was. That other Sirius in the reflection should still look like him, no matter what. He leapt onto the windowsill using his front legs, rather than his old hind legs, which stayed on the floor.
He wasn’t a dog anymore. He still had the same eyes, but he was cold. He could see he’d lost his fur. Sirius rubbed the bare skin. He’d be wary of the cold, yet Sirius didn’t mind as long as…
“G- g- g- oo- d.” Sirius tried. He had a voice now. A voice made all the other things worth it. How the colors had changed, how his nose felt stuffy, how cold he felt.

After her last mission on ZDR resulted in a fight for survival, Samus is left with a body she hates, a mind she can't escape from, and no money to keep herself afloat. In order to support herself, she takes on what she thinks will be the easiest job of her life. How hard could it be to act as a bodyguard to a princess? Little did Samus know, the mission would balloon in insanity due to various things, including but not limited to:
Confronting an ancient demon, teaching a chosen hero about ethics, immersing herself in the political machinations of a magic ridden medieval kingdom, getting mind controlled, fighting a dragon, making more friends than she's ever had in her life, and falling in love with one princess Zelda.
That last one would end up changing her life forever.
