He knows he’s been around since before the Joseon Dynasty, he remembers because he’d turned 100 around that time, but he still couldn’t pinpoint when exactly. He was aware of his birthday, but he didn’t celebrate. What’s the point of celebrating turning a year older when you don’t even remember how old you are?
