The mall is destroyed. El’s lost her powers. Billy’s dead. So is Hopper. Steve is probably fucked up mentally for life, but what else is new? Steve has a pretty good thing going. He has kids to take care of, an awkward lesbian to advise. Max needs a big brother. Hawkins is his home, and Steve can’t just leave. Not while he’s still needed. He knows one day he won’t be. But for now, it’s enough.
Or: the Harringtons sell their house before the real estate market goes belly-up. Hawkins has been going downhill for years, anyway. His parents give Steve a choice: move with them and finally take that job at his dad’s company or get left behind. For Steve, it wasn’t much of a choice at all. He may not have a house anymore, but his BMW’s backseat has served as a bed plenty of times already. No one has to know. The party has enough problems to worry about.

Summary

Eddie Munson, a person he has come to care about during their brief time spent together fighting unbearable monsters, ignites something unknown within him, which sends Steve spiraling down a path of over-analyzing every single little interraction they have. He startles, a visibly painful jerk, and his eyes snap to Steve. Steve meets them steadily, trying to project calm. Eddie’s gaze do linger on him for a moment, before he looks around. The house towers above them, dark and empty. Eddie frowns, plainly confused, then glances to Steve and-
Realization dawns, then it’s quickly followed by anger and… hurt? The first quickly eclipses the latter, and Eddie flings open the car door.
“See you around, I guess, Harrington,” he spits, beginning to limp away.
Steve is so startled that it takes him a moment to get his bearings.
“Hey!” he calls, scrambling out of the car. “Hey! Where are you going?! You can barely even walk!”
“Home,” Eddie snaps. “And I’m walking because apparently I’m the only one who doesn’t deserve a fucking ride.”
“Oh, for the love of-,” Steve mutters, then runs the couple of hobbled steps that Eddie has managed to put between them, grabbing his arm to spin him around.

As if any other name would've been more fair.
Eddie hated everything that Steve Harrington stood for, he did. But still, once Wheeler asked them to shake hands and he faced him, he couldn't help but to be in awe, for just a moment.
Because Harrington's face was no longer blank. He smiled at Eddie. And not in any intimidating or cruel way. No. His smile looked deeply sad and there was something about it that pulled at a memory that Eddie had buried a long time ago.

About a week after the Honmoon has been restructured by Mira, Rumi and Zoey things start to get really weird. The Honmoon is stronger than ever and Gwi Ma is weaker than ever so it's odd when there is a sudden increase in random (although harmless) demons. It makes no sense! That seems to be a reoccurring thought because for some reason Mystery Saja keeps showing up too. He keeps finding Zoey and instead of attacking her oddly enough he keeps asking for salvation.
The new Honmoon lets demons with enough remaining humanity to pass through again and again. All the girls cab do to stop the influx is to find peace for their souls. Can our HUNTR/X girls help the crowds of lost souls find absolution? Can they end the cycle of misery in the afterlife? Can they solve the mysteries yet to unfold and lift Mystery Saja's confounding curse?

She wasn’t sure what to even say to Celine, the closest thing Rumi had to a mother, who refused to speak of how mom died and how she’d even met her father. She had never wanted to know about it, but meeting Jinu, she wondered more about their story.
