Lan Xichen and Meng Yao hook up on a dating app once, reunite six months later, and slide their way into a relationship.
Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji live together and have hooked up, but due to a comedy of errors, Wei Wuxian thinks that Lan Wangji is in love with somebody else.
Nie Huaisang wants to keep Jiang Cheng, and maybe sleep with him. Jiang Cheng is just in love.

It was an impressively incompetent kiss, which was a significant fraction of why Wei Wuxian didn’t identify it as such until Lan Zhan tilted his head a little and started trying to use his tongue to force his lips open.
Wei Wuxian made a sound like, “Rrrrrrrrrmmmm????” and thanks to a busy pair of lifetimes honing his reflexes to mostly not be stupid, didn’t open his mouth to object to the situation.

For months, Wei Wuxian had been haunted by the most enticing fantasies of Lan Wangji kissing him on Phoenix Mountain turning into something quite a bit more explicit--which was nothing new for him, really. He pulls the talisman out of his sleeve, watches Lan Zhan as he tracks it diligently, hands in his lap, waiting for Wei Wuxian’s decision.
Finally, Wei Wuxian holds it up in the air, almost threateningly, as if Lan Zhan’s eyes aren’t gleaming with barely-concealed excitement. “I’m going to do it.”
Lan Zhan nods, his lips turning upwards ever so slightly.
“Are you afraid, oh venerable Hanguang jun?” Wei Wuxian continues, trying to keep his own smile out of his voice. “The Yilling Patriarch is back with his wicked tricks! Ready to enslave the Chief Cultivator to do his bidding. How will the cultivation world survive such a terrible thing? I can’t even imagine.”
“Wei Ying,” Lan Zhan warns, although any threat his tone meant to convey is lost beneath his lips stretching fully into a warm, indulgent smile.
