Summary
John hasn't left his home in almost two years. He doesn't know why he feels so disconnected from the people that are supposed to be his friends, and from the society he helped make. But he does.
Jade barely leaves the respiteblock that Karkat and Dave share anymore. She grew up alone; she was alone on the ship; she doesn't ever want to feel alone again. So why does she feel wrong like this?
Calliope has never felt more happy than the love she's found with her best friend on this world that, well, it isn't new to her, but seeing it like this is. She doesn't have to pretend to be something she's not to gain acceptance any more. So why does she still feel like something is wrong?
Terezi is out in space, Jane and Jake are off being moguls, Rose and Kanaya share marital bliss, and Dirk hasn't been heard from for a bit now.
Things could have been this way for eons, but one notorious spider bitch shakes things up in the best possible ways.
