“I wish I could return the compliment,” Adaine had retrieved her sword but, despite no clear indications, seemed to be just as winded as Fig, content to circle her opponent, eyes searching for an opening but with some level of fear hiding behind them.

“Not for long,” returned Fig, attempting to glare hard enough at the other girl that she’d melt her head.
Adaine shrugged, as if the entirety of Fig’s life ambition was something of supreme disinterest.
“Perhaps,” she leant forwards in her chair, “Or, perhaps you’ll come in a close second. Nothing to be ashamed of with that, y’know,”

Having Dominated F1 the past few years, driving for her family's team, Adaine Abernant narrowly missed a last Championship win following what everyone assumed would be career ending injuries. But she managed to fight back, though now driving for a different team.
Team Aguefort has fought it way from the back of the grid to be a title challenging outfit, they took full advantage of Adaine Abernant's crash to seize the drivers championship, barely missing out on the constructors title. Now their victorious driver has retired, replaced with their biggest rival. The team's former second driver, Fig Faeth is not overly pleased with this development but refuses to play second fiddle again.

“Adaine,” She stepped right up beside her and put her hand on her back as gently as she could.
Adaine jumped nearly out of her chair, looking up in fright before her face melted into a tired smile which was almost cute enough for Fig to ignore quite how exhausted her girlfriend looked.
“Fig!” Adaine grinned, “I didn’t think you’d be back until eleven at the earliest?”
“Addy, sweetie,” Fig put her hand back on her shoulder, “it’s like… quarter to twelve now,”
“Oh wow,” Adaine looked down at her scattered notes and open books “Time flies huh?”

Summary
“I…can stay here if you want me to…?” Fig mumbled softly under her breath. Her tail almost twitched behind her while it softly brushed Adaine’s back.
Adaine could feel the sudden heat rush to her face, her heart ran at an unusual pace while she felt short of breath once more. She knew almost one hundred percent knew the feelings she was having but ignored them as she had done for the past year almost two years when their junior year starts. Boggy could sense her sudden shift in emotions and gave a small ribbit in hope for Adaine.
“I’d like that,” Adaine almost whispered. She didn’t trust her voice at that moment.
Fig lit up at the confirmation and her tail swiftly wrapped around Adaine’s wrist. Adaine lay back down on the soft blankets and felt her body become unusually warm. Fig’s tail tightens around her wrist as a small sign of comfort.

Summary: 4 times Adaine realizes she has weird feelings for Fig and whether or not she knows what they are and the one time she was completely sure of what those feelings were and acted on them.
