“The chatter,” Arthur repeated and his mind flashed to all the kindness Merlin had received from other nobles. Dear God.

Merlin has all of Camelot (and neighboring kingdoms) wrapped around his finger and Arthur is beginning to resign himself to the fact his servant somehow has more power than he does.

Summary

Clark hesitated. It wasn’t as though his professional life and his personal life overlapped very often, Bruce and the kids being some of the very few exceptions.
The only way Clark would be able to introduce Bruce to the League, aside from him getting kidnapped and them having to save him, would probably be to bring him up to the Watchtower. Out of the suit. As a civilian. And Clark didn’t see Batman being comfortable with that any time soon.
“Probably not, but we’ll see.”

Or, Clark has finally revealed his identity to the League. Who... immediately found out he was married to Bruce Wayne. If Clark had his way, Brucie and the League would stay far, far away from each other.

If is a small conjunction Bruce has puzzled over for quite some time. If you were into men, if I was better at relationships, if we didn’t work together, if you didn’t hold a torch for Lois, if I could quit Selina. The list was long, but had never included if you were here. Clark was always there. He’d outlive everything but the sun. Bruce had all the time in the world to consider ifs, until he didn’t. Meanwhile in Metropolis, Clark finds himself underground, dirt as far as the eye can see. His day could be going better it could also get worse.
Clark went to the farmers market on a rainy Sunday afternoon, that’s the last time anyone has seen him by Batman’s account. It’s a love story. It’s a detective story.
