Sunny, after ignoring all of the knocking on his door for the past four years, allowed Omori to take control. Now Omori is in the new apartment in the city, but he’s keeps doing what Sunny would do, isolation.
Meanwhile, Kel and Hero are doing their best for Basil after his failed attempt at ending his life. Aubrey also tries to help, she and her gang blame themselves after all, but Kel doesn’t want them around. Basil is a mess however, he doesn’t want pity he doesn’t deserve. Pity for a lie he fabricated. A lie that broke the bonds between everyone.
Then one night…they get a chance to make everything right. With each other and themselves.

Summary
Basil wakes up at the hospital when he's told what Sunny did when he was out. He told everyone the truth. Aubrey, Kel, Hero... They know. They now know what Sunny and Basil did to Mari. They now know that she didn't kill herself. They now know this is all Sunny and Basil's fault. And they're obviously not forgiven so quick. Now, Sunny and Basil must earn forgiveness, but how? Isn't Sunny moving away?
... And Sunny's mom's incorrect planning saves them. Sunny's moving is delayed, and he has to spend another 3 months in Faraway Town. This time, he can't waste it. He has to be with Basil this time. Now... or never.

After four years of being a shut-in and homeschooled, Sunny's mom moves them to Faraway Town and insists Sunny goes to public school to finish out his high school years. He doesn't want to but his mom and sister insist he's ready. He wants to try to be as independent as possible, which means no ASL translators. If he's lucky, maybe no one at this school will even notice he exists.
He never expected to find someone who wanted to exist even less than he did.

Basil has spent the past two years recovering. Life is hard, and he knows that better than anyone else ever could. Two years ago, Sunny promised they'd stay in touch-but then he left for the city, and Basil hasn't heard from him since.
Now, Sunny's back, and he's expected to share everything he's worked so hard for with the one person who could throw it all away.
Through the anger, guilt and despair, the two of them are able to find forgiveness.
Forgiveness and a secret fifth thing-something neither of them was looking for, and something that threatens to put their newly rebuilt relationship into jeopardy.

After years of being away from his home town Sunny returns to find out everything changed, and he hasn't really spoken to everyone in years only kel once in a while. Only to find out everyone is friendly to each other. Sunny now needs to adjust to how everything changed with his old friends, get on good terms with them, all before he needs to return back to Nearby City to continue community collage.
