Chapter Text
The train moved bumping up and down as Sunnys head bopped to the movements of the train. He was going back to his childhood hometown Faraway town, it's the first time in years he'd be back. Things where different. Sunny wasn't 16 anymore he was now 20, in community College shockingly, and worked any job he could get. Sunny still didn't know what he wanted to do with his life.
The only reason he was returning to his hometown was because despite the years and Sunny trying to ignore Kel of "ghost" him Kel was insistent of Sunny returning for a visit. Sunny couldn't understand why? Why did Kel still talk to him? Why? Why? Everyone couldn't talk to sunny after he told them? Maybe Basil would have tried but....Sunny left when Basil still wasn't conscious yet and Sunny was pretty sure his mother got a restraining order against Basil for obvious reasons.
Sunny quickly stirred from his thoughts as the train stopped causing Sunnys body to jerk forward abruptly. Sunny looked up as he was in Faraway station. It was still odd that they had a trian station now. They didn't have one when he was here, a lot changed and it "slightly" bothered him. But it was luck for him since he couldn't drive.
Sunny walked out with his bookbag on backs the light beamed down on him but he could make out one figure despite the blinding light in his eyes. Kel
Kel looked different but not by much. He just looked like he matured and learned it was fine to have a hoodie on during summer.
"Hey! Hey Sunny! It's me! Kel!!" Kel waved his arms like sunny wouldn't recognize him despite the fact there was only four other people there, none paying attention expect for him. Sunny walked up to him hesitant. How could he not? The last time he saw him in person he confessed to a murder and then abruptly left after seeing them all confused and hurt. He was scared to stick around he was a coward in his ,and for that. "...hi Kelsey" sunny tired to make his voice come out calmer and more confident then it probably did come out. "Huh?...why did you call me that Sunny?" Kel was confused. "O-oh it-..I'm sorry Kel I didn't mean too." Sunny tried to take back his statement he didn't mean to make it awkward. "It's fine don't worry about it Sunny" Kel pulled sunny into a hug...Sunny still wasn't comfortable with hugs but didn't want to mess it up again.
As soon as they where in Kels car Sunny realizes two things. A) He definitely didn't feel safe with the Idea of Kel driving. B) oh thank God he didn't have to do much talking. The reason for the second talk was because Kel immediately began to talk about anything and everything, but he made sure to involve sunny in it by asking a bit of his opinion on it where sunny only had to give a simple "uh huh". It still felt odd talking to Kel.
"Anyways Sunny! I'm so glad you where able to come everything perfectly aligned up!" Kel happily said as he was about to keep talking about whatever thought entered his head next. "..um...Kel..? What do you mean by that?" Sunny glanced over at Kel nervous.
"Oh! Hero is visiting mom and dad for the week. Also Basil is coming back from collage for spring break. It's pretty neat that everything aligned,ya know?" Kel was now opening up a orange Joe but Sunny couldn't focus on that Hero and Basil where going to be here too? What happens if Hero hated Sunny for killing Mari and Basil was upset at Sunny for being a awful person to him and abandoning him in his time of need? "And..what about Aubrey then?" Sunny had to ask hoping she wasn't here too. "Oh Aubrey lives with Basil in his late grandmothers home. They made up and all of that after sometime. Pretty neat if you ask me. They're like best friends again. It's like they friend ship they had when we where 6-11." Oh god it just got worse for Sunny. Aubrey was here too and her and Basil where friends now. He just wanted to sink into the car chair. Everyone where all probably friends or friendly to each other in the time Sunny was gone. What happens if they hated him. What happens if Sunny feels alone around people who once felt so familiar to him?
