Summary
The day Sun died, his family shattered into a million pieces. They'd all mourned and grieved in their own ways, each slowly coming to terms with his choice to take his own life.
Eclipse was a problem solver, and right now, his new family had a Sun-shaped problem that he needed to solve. For the sake of his lovers and little brother, he'd make this right.
Lunar had been one of the only ones to really see Sun for the troubled soul he was, and see the different ways he was hurting before the end. That's why, when his brothers walked in the room and promised to bring him back, Lunar grew angry. Because despite everything that had happened, nothing had changed.
Moon looked across the sea to the setting sun in his mind, wishing and hoping that he made the right choice, for Sun's sake. So imagine his surprise when his replacement shows up, introduces himself as Nexus, and then said that Sun was dead. Everything seems to go smoothly, but the peace is broken when the drill hits something it shouldn't have.
Now they're racing against time, trying to survive an eldritch being as it slowly takes over the rig, while also navigating their feelings for one another.

Summary
I don't want to spoil the main premise, but basically I was just "Ooh, what if this happened and how would the characters handle it afterwords. This takes place after Security Breach, but before Into Ruin. Both the (ending spoilers?) Vanessa free ending and William Afton defeated ending are canon in this fic.
At its core, this is a story about characters experienceing a trauma event, and the aftermath and recovery from said trauma event.

You had been institutionalized for as long as you can remember. The doctors never told you why, only making vague reference to "dangerous psychotic episodes" when they thought you weren't listening. They were the ones who should be in here, not you. As far as you could tell, you didn't have any problems. Even your two best friends would back you up on that.
