The interaction becomes even odder when she remembers that Grian famously hates being touched, or touching others, yet here he is, brushing and braiding her hair.
She brushes the interaction off as an anomaly, but then he comes back. Again, and again, and again.

Phantoms were good trackers, Gem knew that, and she closed her eyes as the sound got closer and closer to her closet. As the ghost drew closer, it dawned on Gem that this didn't feel like a hunt. Hunts were distinctive when she paid attention; all of the hair on her arms raised and no matter where she was, she felt as if something was watching her, prickling unease shuddering down her spine. In this closet, she was terrified, but she didn't feel threatened in that usual distinctive way.
Belatedly, she realized that in her kitchen, the ghost hadn't been blinking. She had no idea what that meant.
Regardless of this revelation, when the door of her closet opened, she shrieked.
"Oh, there you are!" the ghost greeted, too cheerful for the howl that Gem let out. "I was wondering where you got off to in such a hurry. You didn't even let me say thanks!"
"Get out of my house, get out of my house, get out of my house!”

There was the sound of the door shutting. A few footsteps.
“She’s not here?” the voice asked.
Zoey dropped her voice lower, almost conspiratorial. “No. She went out—probably won’t be back for, like… fifteen, twenty minutes.”
A beat of silence. Then a quiet chuckle. “Good. Then I can steal you for a while.”
There was a nervous little hiccup of laughter from Zoey. “Wait—don’t get too close, I’m still live—”
“I’ll stay out of frame,” the voice promised, tone coaxing.
The sound of a hand brushing fabric, then a soft shuffle—the mic catching the rustle as Zoey was pulled slightly sideways. A faint smack of lips meeting. Quick. Too quick to be mistaken.
Chat slowed to a crawl.

The day Wednesday wore a thin, gold-pink bracelet, half of the school went crazy. No one dared to ask her directly, taught by previous encounters, but by the time lunch rolled around, there were already a dozen theories of what it could mean, and why now, and if it was of her own accord or if someone had made her do it, or maybe it was an ancient ritual that was going to make her the most powerful psychic and.. well, there were many theories. The Nevermore rumour mill had been running a bit dry, and it was hungry for something new.
And food it got.
Over the course of the next few weeks, there were a few noticeable changes in Wednesday’s behaviour. And most of them, as the students started noticing, had to do with one, blonde werewolf.

Summary
In the final battle against Nemesis, the people of the tribes are alarmingly overwhelmed, and Aloy is faced with the reality that they have failed. In the last moments left, she finds Beta amidst the battlefield, desperate and grieving what they are set to lose.
Instead, Beta reveals a plan she has set in place, a failsafe if all should fall to ruin. Her final words to Aloy are those of a desperate plea to be found, to not be forgotten.
Before Aloy can even question her sister, she wakes in Rost's cabin in the Nora sacred lands, left with nothing but a recording from her sister and a head filled with memories that haven't even happened yet.
Now, she has to get the gang back together, and fast. They're going to need all of the time they can get to prepare for Nemesis, and this time, they can't fail.
