"Did you see?" says Dick, and he lets go of Tim's shoulders to take him by the arm, tugging him toward the kitchen instead of the Batcave. "Alfred made cookies."
"Think he's trying to lure you in," says Tim, with a huff of a laugh. "Like one of those traps they bait for raccoons."
"Raccoons are too smart for that, baby bird," says Dick, blithely, and swipes up one of the bait-cookies anyway, biting into it with an appreciative little hum.
Tim finds somewhere else to look — fixes his gaze on a spot on the far wall, trying hard to ignore the way the kitchen smells of cinnamon and nutmeg and sugar. His stomach twists a little, hopeful, and he tells it firmly that these aren't for him. They're Dick's welcome-home cookies.

Tim's idea of fun is not sitting in some drafty old warehouse, tied hand and foot to a swivel computer chair.
It's a comfy chair, at least. He hasn't even been tied so that the ropes cut into the skin. His captor hasn't shown the slightest inclination toward hurting him — but she also hasn't shown the slightest inclination toward letting him out.
"You could have done this somewhere better, you know," says Tim, and kicks the chair into an idle spin, for lack of anything else to do. It just sort of wobbles and totters forward into a slow turn.
"Oh, don't be like that," says Selina.

It takes twenty minutes for Cub to get to Grian’s workplace, which is at least five less than it should, and seeing the state that Sam left Grian in is apparently enough of an answer.
Grian blinks blearily up at Cub and watches him go very still. He watches his expression shift, eyebrows creasing with what looks like devastation as he takes in the state of Grian’s— of Grian’s body, calcifying into cold rage after a few moments.

Davesprite looks vaguely constipated for a moment— though that's also just his (their? Dave's? this is confusing) face. Eventually he settles on an indifferent shrug.
"Yeah, pretty much."
"So you absolutely know what I'm thinking right now."
They both eye each other.
Davesprite asks, "Did you seriously never time travel to mack on yourself? You're only thinking of this now?"
Dave and Davesprite engage in a little bit of self love.

Either way, she approaches Madame Odile. Someone with a fascination towards Vaugarde, but not that same intrigue one would have if they moved here normally. Mysterious at heart and by choice, mostly because she found it funny these days. For someone she enjoyed the company of, she never thought about the Ka-Buan woman with the Vaugardian name.

““You know, um. During the loops, I considered… getting rid of them. I told myself that if I ever got out, I’d visit the nearest House and Change, just so that I wouldn’t have them any more.”
The idea troubles Isabeau, he can understand getting rid of body parts that just don’t fit you anymore. But… “Why?”
“They just got a bit tedious?” Siffrin shrugs. “It’s not like I can fly with them, I don’t have hollow bones. And they’re… small. Smaller than they should be, I think.
“And. The King had– has? Wings too. It didn’t feel great to share something like that with him. I guess I just felt ashamed of them.”
The King’s wings had been massive in his Wishcraft powered form. They’d been squished up against either wall of the chamber from their sheer size, feathers ruffled and unhealthy-looking. Despite what Siffrin said about needing hollow bones, Isabeau felt like maybe, if the King had wanted to, he could’ve taken off into the sky.”
…Or: People from The Country have wings and Isabeau is determined to learn how to take care of his partner.
