“When you look into my eyes,” Eros asked, “what do you see?”
Nico looked, and the visions hit him all at once.
One thousand different moments. Laughter, playful yelling, shouting, absolute chaos. The sound of sweet compliments and sultry whispers and bold declarations. The sight of that smile, Will’s smile, over and over, and then the feeling of his skin against Nico’s, the warmth of his breath, the touch of his fingers, the familiarity of it. The reassurance of his hand on Nico’s shoulder and the comfort of his hugs.
There was more, too. A sense of pride and accomplishment, the sound of cheering, the flickering sight of graduation caps and polaroids and love notes and rings and birthday presents and brief pecks and clothes abandoned on the floor. It was beautiful, every bit of it. It made Nico want to cry with how badly he wanted to feel it.
The visions faded, and Eros looked at Nico with a level of pity.
“I am sorry,” he said.

The moon, cycling through its phases. Bloodstained, white cloth. A bottle of pills. A figure in front of a mirror, its reflection distorted.
Nico stared at it until his own vision blurred. The blood was concerning. But what did the moon have to do with it? Had Will been attacked by a werewolf? Was he turning into one? …no, that’s silly. Was he hurt in some other way? But Will wouldn’t hide an injury, would he?"
Nico can't wrap his head around what happened when Will provoked Sherman Yang into a fight. Until Will finally talks, perhaps using more than words...

Watching you, in awe of you.” He drags his lips up to the base of Will’s shin, kissing the smattering of freckles there, and follows their discordant pattern up the strong, lithe swell of his calf, across the raised scar on the side of his leg, lingering on the side of his knee. “Worshiping you, my beloved, in your beauty.”
“Flatterer,” Will gasps. His hands slide themselves into Nico’s hair, as they so often do, tightening around the only locks, looping curls around his fingers like black iron rings. “You just want into my bed.”
Nico grins against his skin. “I am in your bed already.”

At some point, whether it was when he found himself crossing over Camp’s border, or when he lost his first patient, or maybe between being named both Head of the Infirmary and Head of the Apollo Cabin. Or hell, perhaps after all the (brief) rumors about the Apollo Cabin Head Counselor position being cursed started and people gave him that pitying look, Will Solace started to think he too would die young.

Nico wants to hold his guts in his hands, his brain and his heart, hold it out in front of him, Is this what you want? He would scream. Take it, its yours. It's yours, leave me alone. This bloody, dripping mess is all I have. And it's all yours, even if you're not asking.
Or - Snippets of Will and Nico's life in a Manhattan apartment as they try to gather enough credits to graduate highschool, while navigating the newfound chance for adulthood post-war.
Or- or- Nico tries to pretend he's not in love with his best friend. This proves to become more difficult once they start spending almost every moment near each other.

Pylos Springs, a resort and hotel in the Napa region, was supposed to be one of the best (and most expensive) places for people to come to gather themselves after a tragedy. They were only supposed to stay for three months.
