Whatever spell the Grand Bazaar and its atmosphere had cast on Sethos, it made him bold enough to extend his pinky finger and loop it around Scaramouche’s pinky in return.
The touch was static, even though it was the softest thing. They both sharply inhaled, lightning on their lips, but it got swallowed by the roaring applause. Neither Scaramouche nor Sethos joined the crowd, keeping their fingers linked.
“Scara—”
“Just…shut up,” Scaramouche whispered, eyes pinned to the stage. “Just one minute, for once.”

“Dance, I mean.” Aether’s face was just the faintest bit redder than usual. “You said you’d done it before.”
“When did I say that?” Albedo murmured, gaze flicking between the various slow-dancing couples.
Aether took his hand, carefully watching his expression for signs of discomfort, and placed another just above his waist. “I take it I should lead, then.”
OR
Aether asks Albedo to pretend to be in a romantic relationship with him in order to avoid embarrassment at Ningguang and Beidou's wedding. However, beneath the surface of the festivities, something ominous appears to be taking shape.

“What the fuck is wrong with me.” Palm rubbing harshly on his eyes, it was hard to pretend he didn’t know what this was about. Because pretending that the numbness that verberated throughout his being was a whole lot easier than having to untangle any of the ‘why’. Every brief memory that tried to surface he promptly snuffed out, though each figment of his mind stayed just a bit longer in his mind, burning into the back of his eyes.
Instead, he thought of Collei. A voice whispered to him that it would be hard to think of her without involving him, but it was almost a compulsion to think about it. About Collei (a name he just learned today, how fucked was that?) being alive and here, in Sumeru, in front of him. It was a spit in the face, one that only manifested something ugly within him when he realized she was happy. He huffed again, just a bit more wet as he blinked away tears. To think he was brought to such a point because of a teenage girl of all things, it was absolutely pathetic.

Wanderer runs into Collei and his world turns upside down. Aether makes him forget about the spiralling thoughts, just for a night.

Albedo held his breath as Scaramouche’s hand closed around his throat.
“Stop pretending you actually need air,” he murmured. “It’s pathetic.”
Albedo yanked his hand from his neck.
“What are you?”
“I'm sure you'll figure it out eventually, smart as you are. Now let's look for a boat, shall we?”
