The touch was static, even though it was the softest thing. They both sharply inhaled, lightning on their lips, but it got swallowed by the roaring applause. Neither Scaramouche nor Sethos joined the crowd, keeping their fingers linked.

Summary
“Do you want to?” he heard Aether ask close to his ear. He blinked, trying to punch through the weary haze in his brain.
“What?”
“Dance, I mean.” Aether’s face was just the faintest bit redder than usual. “You said you’d done it before.”
“When did I say that?” Albedo murmured, gaze flicking between the various slow-dancing couples.
Aether took his hand, carefully watching his expression for signs of discomfort, and placed another just above his waist. “I take it I should lead, then.”
OR
Aether asks Albedo to pretend to be in a romantic relationship with him in order to avoid embarrassment at Ningguang and Beidou's wedding. However, beneath the surface of the festivities, something ominous appears to be taking shape.

His whiskers twitched in annoyance as he stared at his reflection in the puddle of water beneath him.
In his back loomed the door of the domain he had just been unceremoniously cast out of after being on the receiving end of Teyvat's latest joke. He couldn't hope to open it again by himself with these measly little cat paws.

Or: an alternate version of the canon storyline, where Scaramouche and Aether form an uneasy alliance in Inazuma and unwillingly learn more about each other, leading them to grow closer than they ever intended.
