“Hey guys,” he calls out to the room randomly and his crews’ eyes are drawn to him immediately. He’s still laying down and attempting to figure out a combination of cards to place from the frankly absurd amount that he holds in his hands.
“Yeah, Luf?” Sanji asks, watching his captain stick his tongue out in concentration as he tries to figure out his next move.
“I love you guys,” he announces. Just like that. Staring with a furrow in his brow at his cards. Casually. As if this was a normal thing to suddenly announce to your crew.
Nobody says anything for a moment as they just stare at him. The silence is broken by a blank-faced Nami who’s paused in sewing up his hat.
“What did you do now?”
Luffy tells his crew that he loves them on a late evening in the Merry. The responses he gets in return are varying.

Summary
The Strawhats arrives at a new winter island. They have to stay for a whole week, before the log pose resets. They need to restock their supplies, and can only hope the island residents are peaceful, unlike the last few.
Luffy is mostly excited about there being snow. Nami just wants to spend her days warm and peaceful. Zoro doesn't know how, but he's convinced he's going to ski down a mountain. Usopp is interested in the ice fishing, as is Sanji, and the catch. Chopper is also excited about the snow. Robin is interested to learn more about the island's history, and Franky, still give of new to the crew is here for a good time.
Lots can happen on a Winter Island in Spring, especially where the Strawhats are concerned.

It started, as with many of Luffy’s whims, when he was out exploring a new island. Being the Pirate King did not really change things for them as much as people thought. Sure, things were…different now. Better in a lot of ways, but Zoro wasn’t really going to worry about that too much. The World’s Greatest Swordsman could just breathe a bit easier now as he travelled around with his crew and his captain and did what they wanted.
Monkey D. Luffy, the Pirate King, has decided to master the art of crochet to make treasures for his nakama.
