    AU in which demons are from the Nether, humans are from the overworld, and angels hail from the End. Elytras don't exist; only angels can fly.

    But there are legends, tales of the very bravest of souls that have crossed the chasm between worlds, and come back with wings of their own, granted the power to be seen as an angel. Grian finds himself tempted, to find them for himself and no longer have to suffer the judgement of being a demon.
    What he doesn't know, though - there are no wings that do not already belong to another. And though he may have found what he was searching for, he may come to regret his decision when the angel whose wings he unintentionally stole turns out to be his new neighbor.

    "Grian, what are these?"

    Weakness, he tries to rasp; it comes out garbled, so he sucks in a long, slow breath and tries again, lungs trembling with the effort. "Weak– weakness."

    Scar drops the bottle like it's burned him. "You took three weakness potions?" he chokes out, and that seems to break whatever trance Xisuma, Pearl, and Tango have been in this entire time. They rush forward, eating the distance between them in rapid strides, until they're all crouched around Grian.

    Grian shuts his eyes again, before remembering he isn't supposed to do that. He wants to say sorry. What he says instead, is: "It was– safer. Like this. For you."

    It amounts to about the same thing.

    Or, I finally buckle down and post the rough draft of hunger au, where I give Grian every mental illness known to man and also a few new ones. Please heed the tags.

    I actually started writing this fanfic about a week before it actually happened on the Hermitcraft server. Just a dumb idea - "Herobrine comes to Hermitcraft and nobody knows what to think."
    This is more of an idea of "what if Herobrine is more misunderstood than evil". Rumors got out of hand and the guy's taking the brunt of the abuse from it, including from the world itself whenever -Removed Herobrine gets added to the bottom of the update page. So in trying to run away from the things that are out to get him, he ends up in Hermitcraft and shenanigans ensue.
