Summary
Three months after the end of Season One, Trinity is settling into winter in her shared apartment with Dennis Whittaker, surviving long shifts at the Pitt and pretending her situation with Garcia is casual. The heater is set to sixty-eight. She’s exhausted. She might send a text she wouldn’t normally send. By the time Dennis gets home, the apartment is too warm, the air too heavy, and something is very wrong.

Summary
Emery Walsh has been called many things: selfish, greedy, arrogant, proud, and rude.
She never considered any of those words to be true until she crossed paths with Samira Mohan at Pitt.
She wanted to be all of those things for—and with—Samira, but she refused to admit it.
Or: two pathetic sapphic losers who refuse to acknowledge their own feelings, and a considerable series of events before they finally set their pride aside and embrace what they feel.

Summary
“Pupils are responsive,” Al-Hashimi offers quietly, “but tachycardia and clammy skin suggest—”
“Exhaustion,” Garcia finishes for her, then Santos feels two familiar hands scoop up one of her own and begin to gently massage her fingers and palm. “Trinity, if you can feel me, squeeze my hand.”
Santos swears it takes about as long as her commute to work, but she manages to find her shoulder and then her elbow and then her wrist and then the part of her that Garcia’s holding, and somehow convinces her fingers to curl slowly inward.
There’s an audible sigh of relief alongside the continued warmth enveloping her knuckles.
“Give me twenty minutes,” Garcia says, then leans down close enough that Santos can feel hot breath around her ear. “I’m gonna bring you somewhere quiet, okay?”

Summary
The phone vibrates first. A low, persistent buzzing against the nightstand — like an insect caught in glass. It’s annoying, and the phone moves slightly at every buzz.
Trinity doesn’t wake all the way. She groans, buries her face deeper into the pillow, and tightens her arm around the warm body beside her.
“Ignore it,” Yolanda mumbles into her shoulder, voice thick with sleep, hand resting on Trinity’s chest.
She wants to ignore it. But she can’t. She cracks one eye open.

Summary
The cold hits them the moment the restaurant door swings shut. One second, Trinity is laughing, her breath warm in her chest, growing into a bubble of happiness she's keeping unexamined. The next, winter is clawing its way under her coat and down through the gap where her scarf isn't tucked in properly. The sidewalk is a patchwork of yellowing snow, blackened slush, and slick, glassy stretches where the city never quite got enough salt down.
Yolanda shifts automatically closer, like their bodies are homing beacons to each other. Her arm brushes Trinity's as they walk, a cautious nudge every couple of steps. "I told you to wear a thicker coat," she says when she catches the way Trinity immediately shudders against a gust of cold air.

Summary
What Santos knows about Garcia: how she likes her coffee, the pattern of moles on her back, how she sounds when she comes. What Santos doesn't know: her hobbies, if she has siblings, her parents' names. Santos hasn't met any of Garcia's friends. It's possible that none of them know of her existence. When Santos tries to imagine Garcia's place, she can see Garcia's black Hokas on the doormat, but she can't fill in any of the picture frames on the walls.
Or: Trinity Santos's turbulent love affair with the concept of Yolanda Garcia's townhouse.

Summary
“Like, what if I can’t do this? What if I just can’t fucking do this.”
Garcia doesn’t know what to say so she puts a light hand on Santos’s back, and when she doesn’t reject the touch, Garcia starts to move it up and down and up and down, slow and steady and gentle as she closes the distance between their chairs and leans in close so she can keep her voice low.
“Trinity,” she murmurs, “we both know that’s not true.”
Santos shakes her head again and chokes out an empty laugh. “Fuck off,” she manages, but without any bite behind it, and her bouncing knee is starting to lose steam.
“Make me,” Garcia replies without missing a beat.
