Peter was standing off to the side with his notepad tucked up against his chest, one shoulder braced against the wall behind them both. He was relaxed, but only relaxed enough that he could see every exit and keep track of every unfamiliar face - while also making sure Harley didn’t do anything catastrophically stupid before lights out.
Babysitting duty, as Tony called it.
Assistant position, the ad posted for the job had said.
Peter tipped his head down, pen running absently across his notepad. He didn’t look up when he snorted, “I doubt he even knows what aerodynamics are.”

Over the weekend, Tony finally gets the go-ahead to call the Avengers back to the USA as free, innocent citizens.
The Rogues return to the Tower™ expecting Tony to be miserable and alone - or, at least, with only Pepper and Rhodey around - and are shocked to find a small spidery child running around on the ceilings like a fiend.
Peter slinks down from the ceiling when eventually, finally, Tony pries him away to force him to go to school.
Obviously, Flash doesn't believe a word Peter says about his internships.
Neither does Mr Warren, but Peter never really liked him anyway, so it doesn't matter too much.
But then Mr Harrington announces a field trip, and where else could it be to than the Avengers Tower?

In typical Xie Lian manner, the poor omega turned and tripped right over a rolling cart stocked with supplies, sending it ricocheting off the hallway walls and into the lobby, leaving dents as it went. Xie Lian, on the other hand, lost his footing immediately and began tumbling towards the ground. As the dark tile floor grew closer to his face, he shut his eyes tightly, trying to cringe away from impending doom. Then, a secure hold fastened around his waist, keeping him aloft above the hard floor with his feet barely supporting him like a fawn finding its legs.
“Careful,” A deep voice called from above as he was righted back onto stable ground. Xie Lian turned just as the beaded curtain fell back over the very last studio space’s entrance. His heart gave a few rapid beats (which he blamed on adrenaline from the fall) as realization dawned that this was Hua Cheng’s studio. And the alpha who’d just saved him from a nasty spill certainly was not He Xuan.

There’s another thing—Todd’s Italian is horrendous. All he has is greetings and a half-remembered handful of nouns in his head. He’s sure that his uncle will probably mainly talk to him in Italian this entire trip—another thing to look forward to.
All in all, the town of Porto Bocciolo is gorgeous, tucked in right behind the sea. It’s quaint, quiet even, with docks at the very edge of the land, the stalls in all sorts of shapes and conditions, but the community is tight-knit, no one going unnoticed. Cobble roads weave carefully through tight gaps and alleyways, leading off into a gorgeous backdrop of olive groves and vineyards, farms, and fields which lead into the mainland. Looking out at the town, he thinks that his holiday might not be that bad.
