"Vi," says Mother a little louder than usual because of the downpour outside. "Where are you from?"
"The sea," says Vi in between bites of porridge. "I've always wanted to see what it's like up here on the top side. There are so many stories. You really walk on feet. Feet are so cool."
Caitlyn looks at her own feet. She's never once thought they were cool, but she supposes she will miss them if she no longer has them. That makes sense.

Summary
The Runeterra Coalition was founded with a simple purpose: to unite supernatural beings. Not to control who they were but to adjust and protect one another in a collaborative effort to sustain their world in the mayhem of the wider reality around them. That includes werewolves and vampires being amenable to working side by side, despite their long, bloody history. However, Caitlyn and Vi find out their connection runs a bit deeper than an alliance of necessity.
