SMG3 and SMG4 were walking back to the Showgrounds after a peaceful walk under the evening sky. The sun was beginning to set behind them, leaving the air warm with golden colors splashing against their environment. Their hands were lightly intertwined as they talked about everything yet nothing at the same time.
Both of them had soft looks in their eyes.
It had only been a few weeks since things had changed between them. Now, they found themselves sharing long embraces and even a few kisses between them. Both were happy with the change.

“I think we were kidnapped?” SMG4 responded. He tried to stand up and promptly fell back on his ass when a wave of nausea swept over him. “...And drugged, probably.”
“Fuckin’ hell,” SMG3 groaned and SMG4 had to agree.

SMG3 and SMG4 learn that lying to yourself can and will piss of the very concept of Truth so badly that she traps you in an escape room with the only way out being to tell the truth.

He wasn't dumb. Maybe reckless at times, but not dumb.
The implications of that email were clear. And it's not like they were talking in person, and she chickened out. She TYPED that out.
If she had decided against confessing altogether, she could've erased that entire part of the email and left no trace. But she didn't. She left those clues for Mario, almost teasing him with that last sentence.

Cas stretches out in the backseat while Dean takes up the front, and Dean’s pretty devoted to gritting his teeth until he can catch an hour or two of sleep, but sleep won’t take, and it just doesn’t take long at all for him to start shivering despite the layers.
After maybe half an hour of shivering, he hears rustling behind him, picks himself up by the elbows to peer over the back of the front bench, and sees Cas shedding clothes.
“... what are you doing?”
“I am preparing to share body heat with you,” Cas answers flatly, already out of his coat and jacket, unbuttoning his collared shirt and shrugging it off; his shoulders and arms look immense in the thin undershirt beneath.
“W-We won’t be doing that—”

Cas looks even more tired than Dean feels. His eyes are red and the bags under them are more prominent than ever. His hair is a hot mess, reminding Dean of the time when Cas was still able to take off any second with just a flick of his wings. The cut on his neck is covered with a white bandage now and he wears different clothes, a gray sweatpants and a black shirt with a hole on the collar, that Dean recognizes as one of his. It makes him look different. It makes him look soft.
Dean likes it a lot.

Cas is back and that is great. Except that it worries Dean how much Cas struggles to adjust to humanity, haunted by nightmares and memories every night. So it's just a gesture of their friendship, despite Castiel's feelings for him, when Dean offers Cas to stay with him at night.
