“Who gave you a baby?” Dick demanded, the instant Bruce opened the front door, eyes drawn immediately to the sobbing infant on Bruce’s hip that he gently bounced to no avail. At the same time, Bruce muttered, “I told you, it’s fine, you didn’t have to come.”
Dick rolled his eyes and pushed past him. Noted the scattered blankets, baby clothing, and dirty dishes gracing nearly every surface of the lake house with a glance. “I figured that out when you hung up on me. My question still stands: who in their right mind gave you an infant?”
Bruce opened his mouth and then shut it. Took a deep breath which he blew out slowly. The plain white dress shirt he favored on the weekends was streaked with what looked like pea puree, sweet potato, and snot. “A desperate alien ship with no other options.”
“Yeah, that scans.”

They have an arrangement.
Eight months of Thursdays. Eight months of Bruce cataloguing everything he tells himself he's not cataloguing — the sounds Clark makes, the impossible heat of him, the way his sleeping body turns toward Bruce's corner of the room. Eight months of very carefully not calling it what it is.
Then Clark shows up on a Sunday and asks Bruce what he knows.
Turns out Bruce knows exactly what this is. He's known since Kazakhstan, since a restaurant at 3 AM, since Clark said I'd like to come back from this to a bowl of pelmeni and Bruce filed it under highest priority classification and declined to retrieve it.
He's retrieving it now.

Summary
Title says it all. Kryptonians come from a society where secondary sex/dynamic is not pre-determined but can change during life. Presentation happens when a compatible match is made, with one of the couple adapting to the other's gender to have a reproducing pair.
Unfortunately, ye olde Kryptonians messing around with their genetic pool meant less variation and thus less compatible pairs and less presentations happening.
But Clark is the first natural born son of Krypton in ages, and his body has decided Bruce Wayne is his perfect alpha mate. Nevermind that there is no such thing as an human alpha.
Clark sure whishes he had learned about all of this before it was happening to him.

The man cocks a pistol from his coat, shoving the barrel towards Lex's chest, eyes wild as he circled him. "C'mon man, I ain't playin'! Give me the keys!"
"Alright man, take it easy, take it easy," Lex speaks soothingly, complying as he holds the keys in the air to try to dissuade them. Nothing about their movements or actions indicated that this was premeditated or planned, like a hit. He liked the Porsche, but it was replaceable. There were ten other cars in the garage with his name on the titles.
"And the watch!" The man snatches the keys out of his hands, eyeing Lex up and down as he waves his gun.
Right. The watch. The one his mother gave him. The only piece of his mother he had left. Lex grimaces, and pulls up his wrist, taking time he didn't have. This was going to be a hell of a lot harder to recover.
Then, a searing bang cuts through his back.
