The elf makes for the door, stepping over the litany of fallen imps and through the cooling pools of blood, and heads for the door.
Gale, scowling deeply, trails behind.

Out of habit, he stretches and shifts on the mattress as much as he can in his limited state. His arms have long since gone a little numb, and his legs don’t feel much better. He pays particular mind to rotating his ankles and wrists within their silk bounds, stimulating the blood flow to his hands and feet, but all it causes is little pinpricks that make him grimace.

At first, she recognized the cold fury as Marc’s. He stalked closer silently, mouth set thinly and a cold light shining in his eyes.
But then his whole demeanor was off. The set of his shoulders, the tilt of his head. Layla blinked as a gun seemed to appear out of nowhere. She hadn't even realized Marc would've brought a gun. Then it dawned on her that Marc probably hadn't.
With a calmness that felt unnatural, he raised his arm, took aim and shot without hesitation.
Their eyes locked as the frantic pleas for the assassin’s own life were cut short. Layla didn’t look at the gruesome display that comes with being shot in the head, for she couldn’t look away from the calculating look in the stranger’s eyes. He’d been watching her appraisingly, curious to see how’d she’d react.
“You,” Layla said simply, unable to tear her eyes away.
One corner of his mouth ticked up infinitesimally. “Me.”

Summary
Ever since Jafar got tricked into turning himself into a genie and therefore becoming a slave to magic, he'd been trying to undo it. He succeeds, in a way, when he magicks himself out of the lamp and out of his bonds - but into another world, a world without magic. Free at last, but without powers, Jafar swears revenge upon those who have wronged him and he vows to return to Agrabah a free man.
If he manages to return to Agrabah at all, that is. His search brings him to Rome, where he meets Primo - influential, power-hungry, cunning and exactly Jafar's type. Intrigued by one another, they strike a deal - Primo helps Jafar become Sultan, but the price is high and what Primo has in mind, might just shake up the dynamics drastically.

“Yes, I speak Russian,” he snapped, defensive and angry. He knew that it had been a mistake to even try to be friendly with Rozanov. “Why? Do I not look Russian to you?” He scoffed.
“No, not really,” Rozanov said. Some of his teammates laughed, although they mostly looked surprised that Shane was speaking to them at all. Rozanov didn’t laugh, though. “Are you Russian?”
“Go fuck yourself.”
