Summary
When Madara awoke, he had expected darkness.
Caught off guard on a mission gone awry, injured, and trapped in a blizzard, he had been easy pickings for a party of Hagoromo Kekeii Genkai traders. Though he put up a fight, it was ultimately useless. He was poisoned, his eyes taken, and then left to bleed out in the snow. He had expected death at best, and blindness at worst.
He had not expected to wake up in his clan's medical ward, eyes still fixed in his skull, healed, and with a fresh soul mark on his cheek.
---
Somewhere, far past the river that divided their warring lands, Tobirama looked down at his hands with the soul mark that stained them, and his blood turned to ice.

Summary
Clark finally manages to turn around and look at the man he used to lie next to in bed.
He's the same height, the same general fitness, though his arms look a little fuller now, defined inside the sleeves of his black wool crewneck. His eyes are the same well water blue, although now he wears glasses. Clear, square frames that really suit him. So do the freckles that dot the bridge of his nose. Lex isn't quite tan, but he also isn't so pale anymore.
Clark doesn't really know how he feels about that.
It's not that Lex doesn't look good with some color.
It's just that Clark doesn't know how he got it.
He doesn't know who this Lex is.
This Lex is not his.
And god, that makes him fucking nauseous.
A canon divergent Smallville AU that explores what might have happened to Clark and Lex had Clark told him his secret from the beginning.
(spoiler: they still got issues)

Summary
“Baby Bird?” Jason’s voice shifted, softened into something almost fragile, as if he were speaking to a child. Maybe, in his eyes, Tim was exactly that. The familiar nickname—so wrong, so tender—sent a tremor down Tim’s spine. Jason never called him that. Jason never spoke to him with warmth.
Jason hated Tim.
He shut his eyes tight, praying this was just a cruel dream. But then warm hands cupped his face, grounding him. A metallic clatter echoed through the cave, sharp and final. The gun had hit the floor.
“No, no, no—don’t close those blue eyes, Baby Bird. Look at me,” this time Jason’s voice cracked into a plea. Every word trembled with fear, with a need that made Tim’s chest tighten painfully. Tim bit down on a sob, the taste of salt and blood filling his mouth, forcing himself to lift his gaze and meet the toxic green fire of Jason’s eyes once more. He could feel the tremor in Jason’s hands, the way his knees pressed into the cold floor, and it made his own body ache with tension.
Or,
Tim wakes up in Gotham, which looks too foreign, but he finds a home there.

After years serving as the Dark Lord’s eyes in the field, the war was finally over, and Draco was free to pursue his career as a Healer. He had done his duty, he had helped secure the Order’s victory, and now he was ready to focus on his research.
Landing his dream position at a clinic in Chilham, Draco could at last devote himself to advancing Squib medical care. Working alongside Harry Potter, the man who had secured his freedom after the war, wasn’t a problem. Not at all.
And the fact that Potter was romantically involved with Draco’s ex-fiancé, Theodore Nott?
That wasn’t a problem either. Not in the slightest.

Summary
Charlie had planted herself in front of Vox and was rambling off an impressive myriad of excuses, from busted pipes to bad Wi-Fi, while he stared at her, hands on his hips, with the utmost expression of forced patience. His black, digital brows were set in a line as straight as the glower at the bottom of his screen. He does a single, slow blink, finger tapping against his hip as he debates on how much money he can reasonably make on a Charlie Morningstar-inspired white-noise machine (and whether the guaranteed customer complaints will be worth the cheap buck) when a movement over her shoulder draws his eyes.
He leans to the side, eyebrow quirking. "What's that?" Then promptly chokes on a surprised noise and shoves Charlie aside. "Holy shit, is that a human?"
Lucifer plays a prank on Alastor.
Everyone else has to deal with the consequences.

Summary
Imogen Evans is a 22-year-old registered nurse in Gotham thanks to an accelerated program funded by Wayne Enterprises for a city always in need of more medical staff. Imogen is overworked, stressed, avoiding her past, and recently found out she’s pregnant, but she’s got a roof over her head so that’s something.
Her already rather chaotic life gets turned upside down when Red Hood breaks into the clinic one night, bleeding and concussed and definitely in need of serious medical attention. It’s not long before certain bats and birds well-known in Gotham start showing up. And since Imogen took off Red Hood’s helmet so he could, you know, breathe, she happens to now know that Red Hood is Jason Todd, part of the Wayne family. And when you start comparing Waynes to vigilantes, things add up.
Imogen finds herself being absorbed into the Bat Family when they begin regularly visiting with minor wounds since she stocks lollipops and fun band-aids. Soon she starts spending time at the Wayne Manor, especially after patrols. Also, she and Jason keep circling each other, teasing and sarcastic and drawn together.
tl;dr : The Batfam gets a new medic, and Jason is accidentally falling for said medic.

Lex Luthor had tried bribing everyone involved. Lawyers, officials, even the parole board. It didn’t work. The verdict stood: Lex Luthor was officially court-ordered to teach at MTTC as part of his sentence. If he wanted his freedom, he’d have to earn it behind a podium.
Or, Lex Luthor is made to teach Strategic Communication at a community college as part of his parole deal, which happens to be the same class Clark Kent is assigned to for his 40-hour mandatory professional development program at the Daily Planet.

He can see ghosts, which means he still has family. Still has Shisui, and all the aunts and uncles and cousins and distant relatives he didn’t even know before. Summary
Bruce Wayne was a large man. He had a sharp-eyed charm that left the weak-willed dazzled and the strong-willed suspicious. He was dragon in all passable ways -- fierce, defensive of his charitable interests -- and yet failed to impress in others. He had no hoard; there was no evidence, on camera or in a witness account, of him ever having shifted.
Everyone who met him walked away with a shiver of something down their spine, uncertain what it meant. Thomas Wayne had set off the soft, human instincts and soothed them in the same breath, so visibly dragon -- and apologetic, at points -- as to be disarming.
Bruce Wayne apologized for nothing. He simply was. His teeth were sharp, his eyes even sharper, and he stared at those with opposing interests in a way that conveyed his delight in their confusion. In their inability to believe their own eyes and senses when that drowsy, long-disused human survival instinct woke in the back of their minds at the sound of his voice.

“I ask you this as one knight to another. I would be in your debt.”
“I have no use for nebulous favors from a mortal in a different dimension,” he said. “Debts are paid tangibly, Dark Knight. I favor the traditional.”
Batman’s mind raced. “My firstborn,” he said.
He had no intention of ever having children. The Mission was the end-all be-all of his life. There would never be a firstborn, but there was hardly a more traditional bargain.
“Very well,” Fright Knight said. “I accept your terms, Batman. I shall dispense with Spectra posthaste.”
Batman nodded.
Fright Knight kept his word.
