Summary
"I think there's something wrong with me," Adora tells Bow. "It's like my brain forgets where I am. Or when I am."
Bow eases a bolt out of place. "We're all adjusting. George says battle fatigue can stay with you for a while."
"It's not about the war." Adora's wrench keeps slipping. "It's - from before that."

Summary
Light flickers at the top of the stairs, and it only takes a moment for the outline to solidify. "Hey Adora," Catra says, as if nothing's wrong. "What'd they think?"
"They thought the place was haunted," Adora snaps. "For some reason."
Catra slides down the banister, leaping off the end to float next to Adora. She only has to be a couple inches off the ground to be eye-to-eye. Her smile is infuriating. "You say that like it's a bad thing."

Summary
The closest thing to reality is her mission. When Adora focuses on that, the sword doesn't threaten to glitch out of her hands.
Adora kneels before the Queen of Bright Moon, and when she speaks, it doesn't sound like her life has fallen apart in the last twelve hours. It's easy to do insane things when nothing's real.

"That's cool," Adora says, and means it. "You never told me."
"Yeah, well. It was never going to happen." Catra glances at Adora before rolling her eyes. "No one wants a baker that can't taste sugar." She picks up a jar full of brown. "Whatever. Forget it. Was Razz allergic to labels?"

Summary
The visitor comes back over and over again, and one day she sits outside the cell bars, long past any time she'd stayed before. "Maybe it's stupid to pretend you're a person," the visitor says, "but I'm going to anyway."
The creature that used to be a sword holds that thought to its chest when it lays down to sleep. It doesn't know why that makes it feel so warm.

Summary
Jewish post break-up Adora bumps into Catra at a mutual friends' Christmas party, and has no idea how to reconcile with the love of her life. Cue Razz, who sends her on an (unsolicited) Chanukah time travel rampage through the history of their relationship, a different memory visited on every night of the eight-day festival. Soon, Adora learns it's not just her relationship she has to heal; there's plenty to explore within herself that's in need of acceptance as well. Soft angst leading into wholesome family love.

“Why must you confuse me, Mara? You must focus on the right things.”
Adora’s cheeks burn fast. Whatever Razz is getting at, it’s a clear reminder she’s totally failing at adulting.
“That’d take a miracle these days,” Adora mutters, completely resigned.
“Why didn’t you tell old Razz?” Adora’s stunned by the dazed grin that spreads across wrinkled features, “That’s easy - you can have eight!”
“Wait, what?” Adora jerks away, the hairs on her forearms starting to stand on edge. She doesn’t get the chance to figure it out; Razz clicks her fingers, and suddenly Adora’s nowhere and everywhere all at once.
