Rhys hated parties. They were obnoxiously loud and unsettling - besides, Pandora High seniors on alcohol seemed to always spell disaster. Rhys would much rather spend his time curled up in bed, and yet, on Halloween night, fate decided to throw him a distraction to one such horrendous party in the form of a tall, dark, handsome stranger named Jack.
Fate doesn’t stay on his side for very long, though.

Summary
At first, John had been perfect because he was so common. He was a little interesting, what with the psychosomatic limp (long gone now) and all the signs of being an adrenaline junkie, but when it came down to it he was common. He’d pay his share of the rent, ignore Sherlock, and they’d do their own thing. He had also been fairly sure he’d do more than his share of cleaning thanks to his military background. So: perfect.

Eddie let their fingers drift to the dark mass on their shoulder and started running them back and forth over the surface. What new human gesture was this? Was Eddie trying to tell him to go back inside? Venom did.
“Oh, sorry.”
For what.
“The…” Eddie mimed the motion he’d been making, “stroking. You didn't like it?”
Venom got the feeling he'd misinterpreted something. Why did you do it?
“You ever gonna run outta questions?”
When you stop doing weird things.
Eddie shrugged. “Thought it might feel nice, I guess.”
Hm, Venom said noncommittally. He reflected as they watched the mug revolve in silence. Knowing that the touch had been for his benefit generated more weird new emotions. He wasn’t sure if they were good. They were mildly stressful, but maybe just because they were unfamiliar. He tried to focus on the physical sensation, which was more straightforward. It had been pleasant, he thought.
It did.
“Hm. Why do you sound surprised?”

“We got a lot to learn about each other,” Eddie said.Series
