Summary
The last time Dennis had a conversation with Robby before the day they tumbled down a bridge together was a little over a year ago. It was minutes before dawn. The hallway light was just bright enough to illuminate the horror in the older man’s eyes.
“I’m sorry,” he said to Dennis, choking on the words and rubbing a palm over his eyes. His chest was heaving with breaths as if he'd just witnessed the end of the world instead of holding Dennis naked in his arms.
*
Or;
A year after a drunk hook-up with his attending at the end of his rotation, Dennis is back to the Pitt as a resident.

Summary
To finally get to the point: while there hadn’t been a bet on them procreating (yet), there is the matter of the absolutely massive jackpot regarding them getting engaged, and in light of Trinity’s discovery during the shift that will forevermore be known within the Pitt community as “the Full Moon Friday Retrogeddon,” Trinity is like 96% sure Yolanda has won. Because Yolanda had put her money on “shotgun.”
The story of the first two years of a relationship, told primarily through the bets their coworkers make.

Summary
It echoes through the hub, over the sound of chatter and work, bringing a hush over the ER as everyone turns to look at what's just made Dennis yip like a scolded dog.
The rush of blood to Robby's face, turning him what he guesses must be a deep lobster red from the feel of it, happens so fast he can only pray he'll pass out and be spared the humiliation of being dragged down to HR right then and there.

Summary
“When’s the last time you washed your hands?” Mel asked.
Frank paused, confused, and then shrugged a shoulder. “Uh - two minutes ago?”
“Have you touched anything since?”
“No. I mean, nothing besides you.”
“Alright. And - do you trust me?”
“Yeah, I trust you.”
“Um, can you - can I do something, and - and can you not laugh at me or be weirded out because I really need this and… and you offered, you remember, you offered to do what you could, no matter what?”
He nodded.
“You remember, Frank, you remember that you said that? You remember that you promised?”
“Yes,” he stressed. Really, what was the weirdest thing she could do? Recite all 118 elements of the periodic table? List all the books of the bible? Rap Hamilton at him really fast without breaking eye contact?
Take his hand and stick two of his fingers in her mouth?

Summary
Frank turned to face her again — and for the first time in their ten years, he looked at Mel as though he didn't know the person standing in front of him.
Her breath caught, lips clamped shut as if she'd already said too much and nothing at all, all of it years too late.
"Why would you tell me this now?" he asked, disbelief sharpening his voice. "Why would you even think I wanted to know that?"
Mel's mouth opened and closed around nothing, her grip on her racquet going slack. "I just... I wanted you to know."
Frank’s expression hardened as he stepped toward the door. “After this game,” he said, not looking back, “we’re done.”

Frank groans.

“You must be…?” Her step-mom turned towards Langdon, eyes tracking up and down him. Her thin eyebrows were tilted up, surely in surprise.
“I’m Frank,” Langdon smiled, reaching forward with his other hand to shake her hand. He leaned across the table to shake her step-sister’s hand, before turning to Mel’s father and looking at him. “I’m Mel’s boyfriend.”✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
