Summary
No one knows who the mysterious Lord Vader is. The Hutts would like to, so they can kill them and make them stop freeing entire planets of slaves. The Jedi would like to, for almost exactly the opposite reason. Also, they might be a Sith. But Vader guards their secrets closely, so no one has made much headway on that front.
Meanwhile, young Jedi Knight Obi-wan Kenobi returns to Coruscant after yet another mission tried to kill him. As has become their custom, his friend and jack-of-all-trades Anakin Skywalker invited him to lunch for a meal and a chance to rage against the bureaucratic machine.
Obi-wan has just had an epiphany.

They buy the 200 fucking pound fountain. It is infuriatingly cheap, and unspeakably difficult to maneuver into any space without removing paint from said space. Rex has to come out and help them hoist it into the garage and several hours pass around the kitchen table, drinking scalding hot mint tea and plotting. Plotting. Plotting.
They’re going to have to bolt the thing down somehow or else people are going to just steal it right from the center of the roundabout. Cody has about twenty bags of unused cement in his garage and some bolts big enough to get through it if need be.
He looks at Wolffe. Wolffe looks at Rex.
(Retired Commander Cody moves into a new neighborhood and becomes furious at the way a nearby roundabout is treated as a dumpsite. He installs a giant Jedi Crest fountain dead in the center of it and accidentally creates a safe place for the diasporic Jedi community to worship.)

There was an unfortunate and unforeseen consequence that came with dispelling all of the angelic power the Might of Lilith had acquired: it turned everyone in the radius who had been human back into humans.
Now, with most of the Pride Ring powerless and terrifyingly killable, you'd think there'd be a lot of problems. Charlie thought so, at least.
But no. Everyone is far too busy remembering what it was like to be short, trying to wrap their minds around the fact the Radio Demon is a twenty-something year old, and placing the dumbest bets known to both man and God.

Pete shakes his head, attempting to and for the most part succeeding at clearing his head of anything related to his lunchtime freakout. It'd been mostly internal, but that didn't make it any less of a freakout, the kind where he'd realized that these people he thinks of as his close friends don't think the same of him.
Peter B is like his uncle, or maybe a father figure, or something— Pete has yet to really find a role that fits— and Peni has always been like a little sister to him, Gwen too, more or less, but instead of them being one big family, well…
They are one big family.
Pete is the black and white ornate knocker they've installed on the family home's front door, some sort of parlor trick to show to new friends. He's a collectible, a vintage album, a trinket they carry around not out of love or reverence but out of a sense of amusement.
or, the one where Pete runs from his feeling of not meaning anything to his friends and ends up making a new friend along the way.
