Summary
In a different world, the Crown Prince of Castrum Kremnos waged a holy war in Nikador's name and at his father's behest to bring all of Amphoreus to the Glory of the Strife Titan. And that war would have been won easily if not for a certain Chrysos Heir on the other side, continuously matching wits with the Crown Prince until neither of them could beat the other and only adding to Mydei's increasing infatuation and desire for the only warrior who could face him.
But the war must end eventually and with Nikador's blessing, Castrum Kremnos finally brought down Okhema's walls, sending the Chrysos Heirs to their knees and reducing the Holy City to nothing but ruins. And in the aftermath, there is only one thing Mydei seeks to claim from the rubble and he will have it, no matter what the other thinks.

or; After 522 years passed, Phainon reincarnated into a man called Neikos. He's at the ripe age of 26, working two minimum wage jobs with a six-year-old daughter, trying not to collapse while suffering through chronic pain with unknown origins that ravages through his body.
It's hell for Neikos, with the exception of his daughter, of course. But, maybe his life will get better when the protectors and Demigods of Amphoreus, the Chrysos Heirs themselves, come into his life, greeting him with completely open arms, carrying a past that he slowly discovers for himself through dreams and memories alike.

Cloud and Genesis meet because they share an unhealthy coping mechanism: they both fuck to cope. One night in a club turns into a relationship, turns incredibly awkward when Zack Fair and Angeal Hewley, their respective thought-to-be-dead exes, turn up. Any stability they manage to find is scrapped when Sephiroth claws his way back out of the Lifestream, and they have to try and make sense of things all over again.
I promise this will eventually be AGSZC, it's just gonna take a while to get there

Cloud made a promise to Gaia, believing he would return to the past to stop Sephiroth from erasing Cloud’s existence. Unfortunately, things don’t go as planned. It didn’t help that the Goddess elected to solve the issue of his continued existence through the use of Sephiroth’s cells. Couldn’t she have made him a bit bigger at least?
When Sephiroth was called to an emergency in Hojo’s laboratory, he didn’t expect to find the Professor dead, nor was he expecting to walk out a father to a mysterious five-year-old boy. Nor was Shinra, for that matter. Nevertheless, he’ll adjust. He hopes.
Shinra’s SOLDIERs hadn’t expected to babysit Sephiroth’s new son, who may or may not be looking to commit patricide.
(AKA Gaia saw Sephiroth needing a family and yeeted Cloud at him like a son-shaped grenade.)

As Shadow Milk's meters-long body twisted and folded, he caught glimpses of its underside, too- it was the same bright cobalt of his hair, the hue only made more intense by the blacklight.
Pure Vanilla couldn't tear his eyes away, eagerly drinking in each detail even as his body screamed at him to run. He was…enchanting; the colors and patterns of his new body hypnotically beautiful— in the deceptive sort of way that dangerous things were, to warn you not to come closer.
But Pure Vanilla didn't have a choice— the danger was approaching him, and there was nothing he could do to stop it.

At that, Mydei’s lip curled from its frown into the slightest, lazy smile and hope sparked in Phainon’s chest. Of course Mydei would recognise him even like this. So long as Mydei knew the truth, he could contact Cipher or Anaxa and surely their individual specialisations would be able to—
“You are a noisy one, aren’t you?” Mydei teased.
Ah. That was a bit of an issue. Mydei didn’t recognise him after all. That was fine. A minor setback really. Phainon had overcome worse odds before. He could do it again! Even in the body of a chimera.
Through a bit of Zagreus’ trickery attached to a mirror, Phainon takes on the appearance of a chimera and spends the day with Mydei. Despite how humiliating it is, Phainon is relieved that no one can understand him and figure out his true identity while he waits to return to normal.
After all, only people who receive a blessing of Cerces can understand chimera speech. And no one else. Right?
