“Who is it?” He needs to know now, because at times, Yuxin’s apparent fearlessness makes her underestimate the consequences of her actions, and Shu Yi is usually the one overthinking and over analysing every detail to make sure there won’t be repercussions for anyone - but he didn’t expect that he would have to do that tonight.
“Don’t be nervous, we can trust him,” she assures him quietly, but her words only make him freeze inwardly, anxiousness rippling through him. He? It could be anyone, yet there’s a whisper of a name in his mind, veiled by his apprehension to even think of this incredulous possibility.

He lifts Shi De’s chin with two of his fingers.

They didn’t speak again, but Shu Yi smiled at him when their eyes met ‘by accident’. That smile was the reason for Shi De to fall and crash, and no matter how often he keeps titling himself a fool, he can’t undo it.

He listens carefully, their eyes connected all the while Shu Yi’s talking, warmth and tingles expanding over his body.

“But you’ll reject me just like that?” Shu Yi challenges, clearly unhappy.

Shi De smirks and nods. “The world must be smaller than I thought. I’m sorry I tricked you here, but I wasn’t sure if you’d agree to come if I’d told you it was me.”
Shu Yi frowns puzzledly. “Why wouldn’t I? Did you really think the chances were higher making me believe I was meeting some rude, weird stranger?”

“So? Will you honour your word, or not?” She comes close to his face, "Do you dare?" taunting him.
He scowls deeply frustrated at her and this predicament, taking a glance at Shi De next to him, about 30 centimetres of a silver chain between their cuffed hands.
The worst is that it’s Shi De, but the absolute worst is that Shu Yi was the one to come up with the pranks and dares, and none of his friends has ever cheated, or denied fulfilling one, and if he is the first - no way, he wouldn’t live it down his whole damn life, he can’t betray his own rules - and they truly agreed to do this - how could they have been so drunk and stupid?!
His teeth are literally grating together as he has the hardest time saying. “Fine.”

“What were you playing?”
Shu Yi glances at the piano keys for a moment, then meets Shi De’s eyes again, not wanting to keep anything from him, but not wanting to hurt him, either. “It’s a special song, one I used to learn when we got together, so I could play it for you.”

Summary
“You’ve done enough for today,” Shi De explains and cradles Shu Yi’s head gently to pull him closer, happy when Shu Yi relaxes against him, the strain leaving all of his body in a surprisingly palpable way to Shi De.
He sighs, closes his eyes, and relaxes more into him, taking a moment to just breathe, and be present, savouring the feelings, and sensations of being able to hold him like this.

Summary
Shi De feels the familiar heat rising in his body, greatly anticipating what kind of reward Shu Yi has thought of. Whatever it is, they’ll always share and enjoy it together.
He moves closer to stand before him, a curious eyebrow raised, his mind already imagining all the sinful things they could be doing soon, but Shu Yi smirks mysteriously, and gets off of the couch, puzzling Shi De.

Shu Yi’s lying on his stomach on the bed, staring at the tablet in front of him, waiting for Shi De’s face to appear, immediately putting on a smile when it does. He can’t let him know how he truly feels when he’s already hurting so much.

“You know, things could be worse.” Shi De’s attempt at a first conversation is met by a loud, derisive snort, and a, “No, they fucking couldn’t.”
And he gives up again, tossing and turning and dreaming messed up things all night, hearing Shu Yi tossing and turning above him, as well. Looks like this trip is not just trouble, but a damn nightmare.

“Do you want to?” Shu Yi has been observing him intently, as he usually does, Shi De’s speedy pulse, drumming heartbeat, and breathlessness not the only indicators he has noticed. There’s also the heat radiating from him, the goosebumps on his skin, and the slight tremble in his body.
