Summary
“I have to go to a wedding,” he says, voice tight. Eddie’s eyebrows scrunch in confusion. That’s it?
“You love weddings.”
“Not this one. It’s in Pennsylvania. With my mom and dad. For a whole week,” he says, frustration evident in his tone.
Well that makes a lot more sense. Buck at home for a whole week? Brutal.
“Maddie, Chim and Jee are going, right?” Eddie asks.
Buck nods jerkily. “Mmhm. They are. I-It’s just that my parents are expecting me to bring someone and when I don’t, because who the fuck would I ask to suffer for a week for me, they’re going to make comments about how I am going to be alone forever and it-it’s just already on my nerves and I still have nearly three weeks before I even have to go,” he rushes out, abandoning his coffee on the table as he paces back and forth in the kitchen.
“I’ll come with you,” Eddie offers. He blinks – he hadn’t exactly thought that one through, but he doesn’t regret it, doesn’t want to take it back. Buck freezes where he’s at, body still as a statue as his head whips to look at Eddie.

When Eddie asked if anyone was hungry and cocked an eyebrow at him, Buck thought they might be on the same page. He'd eagerly agreed and found himself following Eddie home like a needy puppy at the end of their shift.Sure, sleeping with his co-worker wasn't the best idea Buck had ever had, but he figured they could get it out of their systems and settle into a productive work partnership. He knew he wasn't going to be able to think clearly around the man until he'd tasted him. And it's not like any of his hookups wanted to keep him around afterward.
