"Did it ever occur to you that I usually blame you because it's usually your fault?" Roy demanded.
"Does it feel weird that it's not your fault?" Maes couldn't help but ask.
"Like sand stuck under my fingernails," Ed freely admitted.
Accidental time travel or not, Maes was glad that Roy and Ed had saved his life, but he really wished that they had spent less time bickering like an old married couple and more time giving him actionable intelligence.

“I sure got lucky with you,” Isagi whispers, laying his cheek against the man’s chest.
“That’s my line.”
His voice is a lazy purr, rough with sleep.
“You’re awake?”
Before the man can reply, Isagi jerks backwards. A few things happen in unison.
Isagi’s brain processes the familiarity of the voice despite its husky timbre. His eyes land on the man’s face, creased by a yawn but unmistakeable. The build: tall, muscular, unyielding. The probability: significantly higher than him picking up a random stranger, professional boundaries aside. The puzzle pieces fall into place.
Meanwhile, Oliver Aiku’s eyes blink open, meeting Isagi’s perturbed gaze.
Isagi spends the night with Aiku after too much to drink. It's a mistake... as far as he's concerned 🧩 Aiku x Isagi, written for Allsagi Fest 2025.

Isagi Yoichi came to Blue Lock to find the passion he once had for football. He wanted to feel the way he had when he was younger—ecstatic hearing the sound of the ball whooshing into the back of the net. Everything about football was normal for him now, predictable, structured and organized into his daily routine, and entirely too dull in the suburbs of his hometown. He knew that he could never be the best in the world; it was impossible for someone like him, wasn’t it? Someone who lost their love for football.
To relearn the ability to arrogantly declare that he would be the best in the world—to feel his heart pound erratically as he watched the best of the best in front of him and strive to reach their level, he accepted Ego-san’s proposal. He wanted so badly to feel that way again, but his heart faltered in front of the goal, in front of his… teammates, who he regretfully wished he could confide in like a normal player. He felt like a fraud, taking this spot from someone with more passion than him.
Ego-san promised that this program would give him a reason to play, give him his passion back, and make him realize his own selfish ego, but… what if he’s wrong?
