Summary
Years ago, a bright-eyed Merlin set foot in Camelot, walked in on an execution, and hauled ass out of there. Destiny is not done with her or Arthur yet though, so it chews him up and spits him out at her feet.
Separated from his men and fatally injured, Arthur Pendragon stumbles aimlessly through the forest. He comes across a reclusive sorceress' hut and promptly passes out on her doorstep.

Summary
All of Arthur’s dedication to being a perfect prince and a dutiful son has led him to an arranged engagement that comes with more than its fair share of danger. Grappling with the stress of the situation and questioning his place in his own life leaves Arthur desperate for a moment’s reprieve.
Constantly running into the foreign assassin that Cenred’s court brought along for the wedding is surely dangerous. But Arthur can’t help being drawn to Merlin’s sharp blue eyes and rebellious spirit.
They say that curiosity killed the cat. But satisfaction brought it back. Could choosing something for himself for the first time really be so risky?

Summary
Watching Patrick serve, the ferocity in it, how alive he still felt across from him—no, Patrick isn’t dead to him, and Art isn’t dead inside at all. Miraculously, Patrick has managed to harness that spirit still flickering deep within, the one that’s been wilting, that dying spark.
Afterward, in the hotel room, there’s a shift.

Summary
And look: this whole thing could probably be resolved with a single honest conversation. He’s sure that with a little communication they could all manage to come to some arrangement. In fact, Patrick is pretty certain that he could fix their marriage himself by finally getting them both into bed at the same time. But Art is extremely reticent to voice what he actually wants, and Tashi can’t do anything without making it into a game, so here they are, each sneaking into Patrick’s bed and pretending that they’re mad about it.
Patrick has no problem voicing what he wants or being direct. He wants Art. And he wants Tashi. If they could get their shit together and realize that they both want him, too, he’d probably be the happiest man in the goddamn world.

Summary
He’s sat down on the couch now, leaning forward with his elbows on his knees, shoulders all tense again, and Blanc is hit with the urge to reach forward and sink his hand into his neck like he did yesterday. But then again, pent up as Jud is, what was acceptable to him last night might not be such a good idea now. If Blanc being in his vicinity right now seems like a welcome presence, he’s pretty sure Jud would explode if he were to poke at him the wrong way.
“Are you sure,” Blanc says, “that you’re alright with me goin'?”
Jud looks at him then, skittish, from the corner of his eye. His body is still turned away from Blanc’s, jittery, his knee bouncing. “I’ll be okay,” Jud says. “Promise I’ll behave.”
“Sure,” Blanc says. “Because you’re so good at behavin'.”
(Or: Blanc keeps finding himself back in Chimney Rock, tries to deal with his own changing life, and attempts to ignore the enormity of his desire.)

Summary
“Nothing happened—” Tashi starts to say, but Art steamrolls over her.
“But something was going to happen, wasn’t it? If I hadn’t shown up? You’d be sneaking off to fuck right under my nose?”
“Would that be a problem?” Patrick asks. Silence falls amongst them.
Art sees red. He’s going to kill him. Did this fucking guy trip and hit his head on the pavement before coming in here and attempting to fuck up his life? “Would that be a fucking problem? What the fuck have you been snorting—”
“Would that be a problem,” Patrick continues, “if we did it without you?”
In Atlanta, Art catches Tashi and Patrick together. He confronts them.

Summary
“You can stay in our guesthouse,” Tashi says finally.
Patrick stares. “Your guesthouse?”
“Yes. Temporarily, yes.”
“Why do you have a guesthouse?”
“Because my parents use it when they visit, and because we’re rich as fuck, Patrick.”
“But — ” He doesn’t want to ask. But he’s kind of a glutton for punishment, and besides, he needs to know. “Is Art going to be okay with that?”
For a long moment, Tashi’s narrowed gaze flickers across Patrick’s face. Then she lets out a disbelieving snort and shakes her head. “I’ll send you the address.”
And before Patrick can protest, she turns and walks away from him.

Summary
The water runs brown for a while after he gets in. Jud isn’t one for long showers, but he figured that he had earned this with how these past few days had gone. After all, there would be a noticeable decrease in the church’s water bill if anything. He pushes his head back under the water at the thought, rubbing his hands roughly across his face.
***
Jud is having a hard time coping with the recent events at Our Lady of Perpetual Fortitude, but at least he has company.

Summary
Patrick is a little different from Tashi. It's not that he doesn't get possessive — he's always been handsy, and Art's seen the way he goes a little cross-eyed when his come ends up somewhere on Art's skin, fingers tracing through it like he wants to rub it in.
It's just that he seems to crave being covered in Art's scent so much more acutely. Like where Tashi needs to make sure everyone knows they belong to her, Patrick needs to be sure everyone knows he belongs to them.

Summary
“I don’t miss playing with you, man. I’m too old for it.”
Art starts towards the door, but Patrick lurches to his feet before he can make his escape. One hand stays on his towel, keeps it dangling in front of his hips. The other grasps Art’s wrist tightly—to ensure that his slick skin doesn’t slip out of his hold—and yanks, pulling him back into the sauna while the heavy door slams shut again.
“No, you don’t get to leave, just like that. You don’t get to run away,” Patrick snaps.
or: the sauna scene, continued.
