    When university student Katayama Rin gets a chance opportunity to perform in front of a crowd, the world's largest pop idol producing music label takes note of her. As a long time fan of the Vocaloids, Rin works through many stressors and her own excitement in order to secure her place in the industry. Though her position inside Vocaloid Music Label makes her an overnight pop idol, it comes with a heavy burden. Rin will have to experience the darker side of the industry she fought so hard to break into. Follow her journey as she deals with family issues, struggles to befriend her fellow idols, learns about some of her new friend's somber pasts, and tries to keep herself in the good graces of the public all while following the rules of her new label.

    Kanade has an inkling she'll probably die young like her mother, but she doesn’t mind. She just needs enough time to fulfill her cursed promise with Mafuyu and compose that song that is capable of saving her. Unfortunately, fate decided it would be hilarious to inflict her with the Hanahaki Disease, leaving her on the verge of death much earlier than even she anticipated. Of course, she hid the fact from everyone and chose to face death all alone.

    A few months later, with a comatose Kanade destined to never wake up, Mafuyu is left to pick up the broken pieces.
