A day after an incident on a beach leaves fifteen people with no memory, only two have yet to be identified. The first, a thirty-something man with presumably fake identification proclaiming him Lucifer Morningstar. The second, a ten year old girl to whom Lucifer has become reluctantly attached.
On the other side of the country Chloe Decker fights through her own celestial-induced fog as she tries to locate her missing daughter. The search lands her in the middle of a cosmic test, the ramifications of which will have consequences for both herself, Lucifer and Trixie.

Summary
Assumes knowledge of Season 4 of Lucifer. Chloe and Lucifer work on their relationship even though he's in Hell and she's not. This is a romance - Deckerstar to be exact. This story is about relationships - no big antagonist. In writing this one, I've ended up going sadder and darker than I normally do, but if you can get through the heavy moments, I do promise a happy ending. I found it difficult to write and have been working on it for a very long time. Constructive criticism accepted - if it's confusing let me know and offer suggestions. If you don't like it, don't read it. If you do like it, please comment. Please note, I have rewritten the final chapter. It was just too fluffy even for me - that's what happens when you try to throw everything and the kitchen sink in there. So take a look at Chapter 19 again - I think its more in character and all around a fitting ending. Thanks again and I do hope you find satisfaction in the conclusion of this story. Enjoy!

After Chloe quits acting to become a cop, her mom cuts her off financially. Strapped for cash, Chloe needs to find a summer job until she can enroll in the police academy in the fall.
She finds work as an elevator attendant at Lux where her entire job is to push buttons for elevator passengers. While her job is mind numbingly boring, things get a whole lot less boring when the hot club owner takes an interest in her.
Chloe might be the elevator attendant but Lucifer is the one pushing all her buttons as he tries everything he can think of to win her affection.
Chloe rebuffs him at first but when the elevator gets stuck with just the two of them in it, she sees a different side of him. A side that makes her think that maybe there’s more to him than just his stupid good looks and playboy persona.
