Hob Gadling is a mercenary with a secret. There's a scar in his palm that connects him to the King of Nightmares. They share a forbidden bond that would have consumed any other human — but Hob was always a bit eccentric. It's been many years since he's last heard from King Morpheus when he comes across rumours about a certain magus being responsible for a plague. He enlists Arcanist Johanna Constantine's help to deal with it, and hopefully shed some answers as to why his beloved king has been absent for three decades.

Summary
Zagreus is lonely. This much is obvious. He tries to help anyone and everyone he comes across. His heart is given just as freely as his assistance, and this causes a problem when he tries to help Achilles one ambrosia filled night or day. When Achilles groans out Patroclus' name during sex, it sets into motion a chain of events that puts Zagreus into Patroclus' arms as well.
Can Achilles fix his mistakes in time to keep from harming Zagreus any further? Can Patroclus heal the young prince's heart before it breaks beyond repair? Can they work everything out to become something newer and better?

Summary
It is rare that caravans ever see each other when they attempt to cross the Southern Wastes. Each group of wagons has their own preferred trails and tricks through the endless, cratered, hostile landscape. Each group has carved out their own path to survival and each group is loathe to share their secrets lest they lose their livelihood.
However, while information is more closely guarded than treasure, other things, like food, company, and laughter, are freely given.
So when two caravans do cross paths it is a time of revelry. They will all circle around the fire, passing wine and bread and cheese and fruits amongst them. They will tell stories and sing songs and dance until at least one person falls over. Each caravan will provide the best they can afford and the two sets of strangers will spend a night as friends. It is tradition.

Summary
When Hob spots a sad woman in white through a window of a famous author's house, he gets a bad feeling. Further investigation reveals that she's in need of rescue, but what Hob isn't prepared for is the fact that the woman he sets out to save turns out to be a literal Greek goddess, the ex-wife of the Stranger he keeps waiting for, and a rather lovely person to boot.

One day, in spring, he comes to the Inn.
Hob looks up and he’s there, and the relief is blinding. He thinks tu m’as manqué, fuck, because you were missing from me feels more true than I missed you ever has. English missing was ruined for him the moment he learned the French way of it. Longing is meant to be a reflexive verb.
It would be a bad faith translation, even for him. He tells himself this is why he doesn’t say it.
He thinks at last, and that’s a doable one. So he smiles, says, “You’re late.”

Summary
It had happened slowly, so many months chipping away at the cold façade, and Hob knows now that Dream is so much more than the person he pretends to be. He likes soft things, sweet things, likes having his hand held, and his hair played with. For all that he pretends to be indifferent, there's been a new bouquet of flowers on the counter at The Dreaming every two weeks since Hob had gifted him that first bunch of daffodils.
Dream is a little bit broken. Hob likes to fix things. They fall in love.

Because home isn’t a place – not for Hob Gadling. It’s quiet conversations and purple and pink galaxies within starlit eyes. It’s glow-in-the-dark stickers and running around barefoot in the rain. It’s stubborn excuses, heated arguments, and the dip in the mattress with whispers of "I’m sorry" through the old creaky bed springs. It’s lifting the blanket and feeling a grounding warmth curl into your chest and letting it stay there long after the morning sun has risen.
It’s jet black hair, gangly limbs, and pale skin. Home is the person who’s holding onto him like a lifeline. Because Hob likes to think Dream sees this as home too – sees Hob as home.
When Hob was three years old, he created an imaginary friend named Dream.

A single pale, delicate hand had sunk in the water and scooped him up with ease, like a child saving a bird from a pool. Hob had coughed, trying to catch his breath and, as he looked up, he found a familiar face and eyes that shone like stars.

When a strange woman sometime in the 17th century tells Hob he's a High Priest, it doesn't take him all that long to figure out which God he serves - what else could his Stranger be but a God? That settled, he spends the next decades making sure their temple (the White Horse) is perfect, that his God knows Hob is devoted.
So when his Stranger doesn't show up for their 1989 meeting, Hob doesn't take it laying down. Instead, he uses all the knowledge he collected over the years to summon his God into his temple - thus, saving Dream from Burgess, albeit unknowingly.
What follows is a series of adventures as Hob joins Dream on his quest to find his tools. They may even discover something new about their relationship on the way.

Hob Gadling has seen the same man sitting still like a statue every day for a week and looking terribly upset, all he really wants is a peaceful lunch break but he can't bring himself to ignore someone in need - especially a very gorgeous someone who looks like they're on the verge of a breakdown. A chance meeting becomes far more, and gives Morpheus a means to heal.
