Yaku scoffed. “Just move in if it's such a big deal.”
Lev opened his mouth to retort only to close it a second later. It was as if his thoughts had finally caught up to the reality of what Yaku had just said, overriding his instincts to be annoyingly whiny in a manner of moments.
Then there was silence, loud and encroaching, and Yaku felt something hot and uncomfortable burn within him. An ache perhaps. His own, personalized, chronic heart pain.
And then there was Lev who was staring at Yaku like he was a trick of the light, both real and not real, visible only if you tilted your head the right way.

Summary
There are some things you just can’t see unless you do things you don’t normally do. This beautiful day unfolding in front of him is one. The man sitting next to him might be another. However, Kenma doesn’t let himself dwell on the second thing for too long because he remembers Jun’s words. Kuroo isn’t interested in romance. And Kenma knows nothing about romance in the first place.
Instead, he whispers to Kuroo, “Thank you for showing me this.”
“You’re welcome,” says Kuroo’s soft voice in return.
They continue to stare at the rising sun. Kenma feels that, with any luck, this would solidify the unspoken, budding friendship between them. He still doesn’t know what it is that he is looking for here in this town, but it feels like he’s taken good first steps.
How to build a life you want. Kenma thinks. This is probably just the beginning.

Kenma, software engineer and a childhood cancer survivor, moves to a coastal town based on one of his favorite video games in search of a life he’s always wanted. It’s not haunted by fragments of things left behind in past loops, in your memories, or in other pieces of you torn away from their home and tethered here by the stars. It’s no longer broken, failing, rotting away with the sickening smell of burnt sugar.

Characters include a trans guy with anger issues, what happens when you force an autistic closeted transfem into a fantasy kingdom, a foul-mouthed nonbinary magician, and a terminally optimistic knight. Come for the mpreg, stay for the vague horror at the mpreg guy's descent into violent revenge.

Summary
A spinoff of The Doctor is Snowed In for those who wanted more!
This fic consists of somewhat disjoint yet interconnected chapters that range from family focused to shameless smut. The stories within are very relationship centric (friendly, familial, romantic, sexual, ect.) with an underlying plot. This takes place after the events of "The Doctor is Snowed In" but not necessarily after its epilogue. The story follows the small family as they traverse life on the seas together and apart.
I would definitely classify The Doctor is Snowed In as a prerequisite, else the stories in here might not carry much meaning or weight.

Ayato sends Thoma on a trade negotiations mission to Mondstat during Windblume in his stead, so he won’t be in Inazuma while Ayato is attempting to organize his own political marriage. Thoma reconciles his past with his present as the festive season makes him consider love and freedom, while Ayato wrestles with his duties and his conflicting personal happiness.
At the same time, several disconnected scenes from their childhood— going from the day they met to the present, details the growth of their relationship and how they got to where they are now.
