When Yuuri and Viktor wake up decades in the past, they don't know what to do. Does the other remember them, or are they doomed to try and recreate the relationship they were always meant to have?
Luckily that particular question is quickly answered and resolved, but even then, there are obstacles in their way. The most important? Yuuri is only 14 now, hardly a good age for them to announce a relationship between the two of them, even if they keep it age-appropriate. So for the time being, they'll have to try and settle for long-distance.
But it's hardly realistic to expect them to be able to react normally after their lives were completely messed up by this whole 'time travel' thing, and really, who can blame them for not being able to convincingly play the age (and maturity level) the rest of the world still expects of them?
NOTE: As those of you who read the original version of this story as I was posting it probably noticed, I really rushed through it. After coming up with a whole bunch of things that I wanted to add to it that would've stood out if I added them so late, I decided to try my hand at re-writing the whole thing. I'm going to try not to rush it so much this time. Enjoy!

Appearing back in Magnolia like they'd never left for the S-Class Promotion Exams, the two have the opportunity to grow during the seven years the others are trapped on the island.
If Zeref had any way of knowing how his decision would change things (change *everything*), he wouldn't have bothered to spare them.

Tainted Akutagawa is unable to try and kill Dazai again after he finds out that his first (half-hearted) attempt failed, but without him being willing to follow through on his end of the deal the Taints no longer have any use for him, and he started fading fast.

Now that things in Yokohama have calmed down a bit and Naomi asks him if he's thought about trying to get a date, Atsushi starts to realize that among the rest of his old orphanage's failings, they also didn't really teach him anything about sex or relationships. Practically everything he knows is second-hand from the older kids at the orphanage and later the Tanizaki siblings, which he doesn't really want to think about, but he doesn't want to remain clueless forever.
He can look up the mechanics himself, but maybe it would be a good idea to ask someone he trusts about the rest?

Summary
Christmas scenes to go with my other Soukoku story, Just What He Needed, which I would recommend reading first if you haven't already.
Brief summary if you don't want to read that first:
Dazai is now the legal guardian of a six-year-old, who is now doing her best to get him and Chuuya to get together. Chuuya's gotten his explanation about why Dazai left, is no longer angry, and is waiting for Dazai to make a move on what he knows is a mutual attraction. On the other hand, Dazai knows that his reasons for leaving being good ones don't negate the hurt he caused Chuuya so doesn't realize what him being forgiven might mean, and isn't about to ruin things between them again just because he can't keep his emotions under control.
