Summary
A gamebreaking glitch tore the game session to shreds, right before they reached the end. Dirk Strider was already dead at the time. Temporarily. Which left him to revive in the aftermath. As the Prince of Heart, he doesn't have much experience putting souls back together, only breaking them, but at this point he seems to be the only one who even knows shit is broken.
He's the last person who'd trust himself with this. Not when he's out of time, out of place, and over his head being responsible for a little brother, a life, and a body his conveniently dead asshole of a splinterself already, thoroughly fucked up.
AKA: A game crash creates an unholy mashup of who the hell knows how many sburb sessions, and Dirk-as-Bro attempts to figure out wtf happened and how to fix shit for the brother who fears him, and the friends who don’t remember him. Because that’s what he does. But no Dirk has ever excelled when truly alone. Good thing he isn’t, he just needs to learn how to accept the help.

Summary
Hal finds himself stranded aboard a certain meteor, impact-bound for Houston, Texas circa 1995. And everything spirals out from there.
Because sometimes, when a system seems to be just short of defunct, all that is required is to take a step back and reevaluate the materials at hand and redistribute your available resources.
And so, with birth comes a countdown on a cycle that begins as it ends: In the red.

Summary
Emizel swallows as Vex turns around with an unnecessarily large scalpel in his hands. Viv turns around with nothing in her hands, but somehow that scares him more than if she were carrying a bonesaw, or a needle, or some other fucked up instrument of torture.
He doesn't think they'll let him go even if he asks. But he doesn't like looking and talking exactly like Shilo, so whatever. He's already here. Might as well let them change him back as best they can, but if he dies, he’s gonna be pissed.
He doesn’t need to breathe, but he takes a deep breath regardless to settle the nerves roiling in his gut. “Fuck it,” he says. “Just—don't, like, kill me, okay?”
***
The Weylin twins do surgery on Emizel in an attempt to change his appearance back to what it was before the Cullen Games. Written for JRWI Freak Week for the prompt "weird gore," except I didn't know how to make it weird, so it just ended up being vaguely erotic at some points

Summary
Three nights before Shilo or Arthur ever set foot in LA, Emizel is already dead.
And Theo left him.
He ran away, of his own free will, on his own two feet, and left his brother to die. Things get a little bit dimmer and a little bit worse after that, and it's the easiest choice in the world to decide he'd rather have Emizel as an undead, cannibalistic creature of the night than not have him at all.
