Summary
When Kay had learned that Franziska von Karma would be in LA at the same time that Ema Sky was on summer break, suggesting they all hang out together had seemed like the sort of whimsical, fun thing friends do, and she had said as such in the group chat. The summer sun, the ocean breeze - it had all seemed so innocent and easy.
But now, a month later and neck-deep in the thousand and one steps that lead up to a day on the beach, Kay is faced with the horrible reality that seeing her friends in their cute summer swimsuits means that she’d have to see her friends in their cute summer swimsuits.
Or; Kay, Ema, and Franziska spend a day at the beach. Kay’s relationship to swimming and swimsuits is super normal and not at all indicative of anything else, so don’t even worry about it!

Summary
What did you like about the episode?: Trucy claims she’s better at doing homework if I sit down and work with her, so I guess this is my mandated book report time. She even let me borrow some of her extra book report worksheets so I could write my thoughts down ‘officially’ – her words, not mine. (Her definition of “doing homework” involves an awful lot of practicing for the school talent show next week with me as her test audience...) Anyways, this episode was a solid meh. I just think it’s a bit derivative, especially the Evil Magistrate’s whole spiel. ‘Oh look at me, I was so evil but now I’ve learned my lesson and I’m ready to come back to society and teach everyone about how morally superior I am!’ We get it, you’re good now. That doesn’t mean I have to like your forced morals about teamwork.
Final Grade: C- (Give the Magistrate some time. You'll fall in love with him eventually. - M.F.)

Summary
K’lyrik shakes their head. “Nein! I am seducing Fräulein Spider!” They shake their hips and waggle their eyebrows at the Spider Mother, who definitely does not blush at the unexpected attention. As they reach the end of their song, they bend down on one knee and pull a rose out of their garishly purple jacket. “Your many, many eyes strike fear and joy into my heart, Fräulein. And my eyes are only for you.”
When the Spider doesn’t immediately respond, and the others are too, uh, shocked to interject, K’lyrik presses, “Well? Are you seduced? Nein, I am not rolling Performance; you said I had to seduce you! I’ll ask again, Herr Dungeon Master: are you seduced?”
Or: Apollo DMs a game of Dungeons and Dragons. Klavier joins the campaign as a horny bard. Everyone else is stuck along for the ride, and it goes exactly how you'd expect.

I trust you will update the policies to include messenger birds. Carrier pigeons and other trained birds have a rich history of working for the government and military in many countries. I am surprised by the oversight in not including them in the policies to begin with. I expect that you did not have a hand in writing the policies, as you do not seem the type of man to flagrantly disrespect history and tradition in this way.

Dr. Koba very genteelly wrinkles her nose. “The works of Freud have mostly been overwritten,” she says diplomatically, and Phoenix barks out a laugh. “This same time next week?”

The line stays silent.

Summary
After his best friend dies in a tragic workplace accident, Apollo is desperate for an escape. He takes a sabbatical from his law job, packs up his apartment, and moves to his foster father’s old abandoned farm in Stardew Valley. What he’s looking for is a change of scenery, a project he can sink his teeth into to distract himself from the suffocating weight of Clay’s loss. What he finds is Trucy Wright, his teenage neighbour hellbent on inserting herself into his life, and Klavier Gavin, a famous musician who knows exactly what it’s like to want to hide from your problems.
Apollo doesn’t need friends and he certainly doesn’t need a boyfriend. If he doesn’t let anyone get close, then he won’t get hurt again when they inevitably leave him behind. Besides, he only intends to stay on the farm for a couple of seasons anyway. Why allow himself to get attached to people he’s only going to lose? Why fall for Klavier when he’s only going to break his heart?
However, as Apollo will soon learn, time really does heal all wounds, and love has a way of taking root whether you want it to or not.
