Matthew isn't quite sure if it was a good idea to invite him over. They seasons may have passed since what happened that night, but the memories had not. The two had stayed in contact for a while, but eventually the texts gradually started to space out until neither of them even thought about sending a message. While the two had never admitted it, they were unable to deal with the reality of what had happened while still being with each other. They simply told themselves it would be better this way. If the roles were reversed Matthew would (hope he would) have declined the offer to meet with Manny, so he's quite shocked that Manny would even consider the request, let alone accept.
