Yin and Yang couldn't exist without each other. It was a simple fact known since the beginning of time. One's presence balanced the others. They had built each other up and would easily crumble otherwise. Yin didn't know how to live without Yang, and Yang could not live without Yin.
Everlock wouldn't be any different. Sure, some bodies may drop, but they'd be okay as long as they had each other. Strength was in the numbers, and Yin and Yang were the numbers. They would go through this together. They didn't have a choice. After all, Yin didn't know how to live without Yang, and Yang could not live without Yin.
Twice had they almost fallen. Even despite being pitted against each other, their loyalties remained. Someone had to have your back when everyone was trying to kill each other. Yin would always cheer for Yang, and Yang would cheer for Yin. They couldn't turn on each other even if they wanted to. Yin didn't know how to live without Yang, and Yang could not live without Yin.
(Even the strongest of bonds would be broken by the town.)
They weren't getting lucky this time. Not only was one of them about to hit the ground right now, but the town's twisted humor decided that one would have to crumble at the hands of the other. Yin didn't know how to live without Yang, and Yang could not live without Yin, but one of those scenarios would have to happen.
(Yin was no long living because of Yang, and Yang would have to figure out how to live without Yin.)
