Summary
The diner's mystery guest always wore the same outfit, always sat at the same seat, never ate anything, and remained hunched over his laptop for the entire time he was there. The staff speculate, but never dare to ask... and then one of them almost sees too much.
Or, one minimum wage worker's encounter with what used to be Brian Thomas.

Brian knows the words. He even knows what they mean when you put all of them together - but he is not thinking about that word. He isn't.
But he is twenty-one, and Brian knows the ages too.
But none of that matters, because Brian isn't thinking about it.

Summary
Maybe he's just replicating what came before. Regardless, it feels in its own off-putting way, good. Jay is gone somewhere Tim cannot reach, and that means no stalking or running, no medical records leaked, nothing but blessed silence. The thing doesn't bother them. Alex stays away. He feeds Jay sticks of beef jerky as if he were a frightened baby goat and wonders what it would be like to be able to visit a farm.
Tim gets sick

jay is complicated. he has- not a soft way about him, he’s a grown man, but he’s kinder. gentler, maybe, compared to alex. if alex is the angry dictator of marble hornets, jay is the diplomat that’s romanticized to outsiders. if alex is angry, jay can’t be, and if he is, it’s not nearly as bad. but there’s always something off about his kindness, an underlying violence that’s off putting to those used to alex, like tim and brian and everyone else on set. he’s nice, usually.
that’s a keyword; usually.

tim cannot stand the sight of a bug, for reasons he can’t really explain. jay was the type of kid to own an ant farm, and is the type of man to catch a freakishly big spider with two fingers and a lot of lack of fear. they’re two puzzle pieces that should, in theory, fit together, but they don’t.
here’s a funny thing about that.
(poor long man jenkins. he’s so full of poison but the bugs are eating him anyway.)

Summary
Jay haunts Tim like a physical presence, lingering in every inch of his life. It’s been two months since Benedict Hall, two months since Brian- and god, it hurts. It hurts. Two months since Alex, and that hurts too, his voice echoing still- you left Brian, you left Jay- and Jay. Jay, bloody, face peaceful and sad and soft, papers screaming your fault your fault your fault strewn across the ground, sickening and sitting in his chest like a weight. Every time he blinks he could almost swear he still sees Jay, a faint, sad-faced imprint on the air. Not threatening, not vengeful, just…. There. Just watching him.
----
Two months after Benedict Hall, Tim drives out to a cabin in Virginia. Jay's ghost follows, unseen. Tim grieves. -

Summary
“Jay Merrick is built like a baby gazelle,” Tim says, taking a long drag from his cigarette. He squints at the man in the far distance, brown hair shining under the sun. He’s handsome. Or pretty, in a sickly Victorian maiden kind of way. He’s also one of Alex’s friends, which makes him precarious in a way Tim doesn’t want to fuck with. Alex is one bad take from breaking something most days, and Tim would hate to get between him and one of his closest friends. Whatever the consequences would be, he doesn’t want them. Doesn’t need them. “I’m not touching that.”

Summary
Something had happened. He can remember that much as he tries again to straighten himself against the pain in his head and the stinging in his throat. That sense of impending doom he’d been trying to talk himself out of hadn’t been wrong. Something had happened and his body remembers more than his mind does because that’s why his head hurts suddenly, like he’d been hit from behind with something heavy—
Like—
hold on.
Something had happened. Some jolt of static and sound and a sensation of sickness and Alex had been gone. Further into the building. Right? Think. Think. He was there, it happened, he knows what happened, why can’t he think clearly? It’s the bad way, too, not the comfortable way that made him want to eat and take a nap after a smoke, but the sickening way of piercing cold and head trauma.

(the same thing happens when you touch it- let me tell you. did they tell you what happens when you touch it? did they tell you?)

Brian’s role as ‘The Hooded Man’ requires him to keep a distance if it’s going to work. However around the same time it becomes glaringly obvious that it isn’t working with Brian on his own, Tim and Jay are faced with life threatening danger. He’s forced to intervene or lose some of the people left that he knows he can trust not to go on a murderous rampage.
They all need all the help they can get and after Brian proves himself to at least want them alive enough to defend them, the team up is inevitable.
Tim and Jay have their reservations. Brian keeps his identity a secret and himself at arm’s length. Even as allies, there’s an undeniable tension that comes with Brian’s presence but if they’re going to make it out alive, they’re gonna have to learn to trust one another.
It might be easier said than done but close proximity has a way of bringing walls down whether you like it or not.
(Or a Canon Divergence AU in which Tim and Jay are saved by the Hooded Man and after some discussion, team up with him; Brian realizes that he has So Many Issues that are difficult to hide when he’s not alone; and things escalate before they get better.)

What was supposed to be a normal car ride with friends and acquaintances turns into manslaughter. You'd managed to cover it up well enough and go your separate ways for the better after graduating high school. Three years later, bones are found, a letter in the mail tells you to come home. In a cabin deep in the woods, away from society and the law, you were supposed to reconnect with people you used to know. You were supposed to discuss what to do next if the cops caught onto you. Things don't turn out the way you thought they would. The bloody past comes back to haunt you in the form of three masked psychos picking people off one by one. The only question you keep asking yourself is; Will you live to see the sunrise?

I don't own Masky, Hoodie, or Ticci Toby. Heads up! These are not the canonical personalities of these characters. I know in cannon the Marble Hornets boys are not slashers! I'm paying homage to the fanfics I grew up on. This is what the cool kids consider a 'Dark' story. AKA it's not sweet and fluffy as they are portrayed as homicidal maniacs and not the popular much kinder fannon personalities from the mansion au. This is a really fucked up slow burn. Reader/Yn is portrayed as bi.Series

Summary
“I don’t buy it,” Pete retorts. “Someone like you? Some cook from East Blue? You’re probably worth a couple hundred thousand bellies at best, maybe a million, if your captain’s somebody.”
Sanji tilts his head back so that it rests against the dirty wall behind him. He’s still upright, somehow, through sheer stubbornness or spite. He doesn’t look like someone who only has tonight left to live.
In fact, he looks sharp. There’s no better word for it. His expression is still as peaceable as it has been since he arrived, but watching him is like watching a knife slide out of its sheath. He is, abruptly, dangerous. A tool made for cutting.
“If you knew where I’ve been, you would be terrified of me,” he says.
